  1. Roman Reigns as Superstar of the Year makes me want to vom.
  2. I second Magic the Gathering. My wife and I played all the time before we had a kid. If you have two computers, Minecraft is a lot of fun to play with other people. Civ 5 is also a fun PC game that is similar to Settlers, and can be played on one computer by two people at the same time. As far as tabletop games similar to Settlers, try Small World.
  3. Why in the heck is the NXT live event next week pronounced R Evolution instead of just Revolution? It drives me nuts. NXT was really boring this week. So many squash matches. That top rope double foot stomp on Breeze was an awesome spot though.
  4. I'm also interested in watching some Kevin Steen matches if anyone wants to recommend some youtube links.
  5. The big bomb was probably that he never officially quit. He basically said he was done and walked out when they tried to get him to wrestle with a concussion but was still willing to talk with the company, and they fired him without discussing it with him on his wedding day.
  6. Did they not show Fallout again? After the ppv they just reran it, and I can't seem to find Fallout anywhere.
  7. There is no way that is actually Taker's twitter. I can't imagine the Deadman is very interested in tweeting. Last night's ppv was really enjoyable. The main event was everything I love about WWE. All my dudes (Ambrose, Ziggler, Sandow) stole the show. The Adam Rose and Divas championship matches were graciously brief. I'm excited for the Stone Cold live podcast. Hopefully it becomes a regular show.
  8. Is the network not working for anyone else right now?
  9. Protip: You can actually start watching it at around 4 EST if you search for it in the library! But yes, it 'airs' at 9 EST. I would imagine they are moving it's slot.
  10. Shinobu was my favorite set by far. They couldn't have been better. Melvins was fun too.
  11. I'm a cheapskate that is very hesitant to pay for much entertainment, and I didn't even hesitate to renew my subscription. It's well worth $10 and is gradually getting better as they add new content.
  12. The garages cost money, and are probably the worst places to park. They are pretty much only used by students going to the clubs which makes them a target for thieves, plus they are just full of drunk assholes. It's usually not too difficult to find a spot within a few blocks of the venues downtown, and parking is free all weekend after 5 or 6 on Friday if you want to just keep it there. There is also free parking on campus on the weekends, which is only about a 20 minute walk to the downtown venues.
  13. Just a heads up, it's supposed to be pretty cold with lows in the 40s all weekend.
  14. It's been used. It was probably shorter because I generated it a month ago or so, and the rest today.
  15. Here are all the invites I have left. I'm warning you though, it's not really exciting. https://ello.co/join hearts-here-its-cried-da86c8 banks-all-bankthe-ba4010 pleasant-crying-party-fd18c0 them-majesty-agony-cd9932 march-nervous-said
  16. It's true that it looks nice and has no ads but there is almost no functionality or userbase. Really all you can do right now is post and tag people, and posting doesn't even have basic features like youtube embedding, and friends' names don't auto-populate when tagging. Seeing as it took them like, two weeks after the boon for them to add a block feature, I really can't see it being worth using any time soon.
  17. My recommendation every year is to eat at La Tienda. Also, make sure to check out Arrow's Aim. They honestly have the highest quality selection of any record store I've ever been to, at least suited to my tastes, and they just expanded to a new location that is three times larger. My wife and I just had a kid so my Fest time is going to be greatly reduced but I'm very excited to finally see the Melvins.
  18. I'm also a fairly new listener and as far as laid back stuff goes, I really like the original Bill Evans Trio records (he wrote Blue in Green on Kind of Blue) and the In A Silent Way complete sessions, particularly The Ghetto Walk.
  19. The storylines are bad but Rollins and Ambrose are top guys, Ziggler has a good hold on a title, and NXT is already great and about to add more great talent. There's a lot to look forward to. I don't think the adds are a huge deal. They are not going to interrupt programs so as long as they aren't 5 minutes long or anything, I don't see it as a bother.
  20. Sam McPheeters from Born Against and a bunch of other bands wrote a book called Loom of Ruin that I really enjoyed.
  21. Watching Itami get beat up every week isn't really selling me on him. If Enzo and Big Kass improve their ring work they are going to be huge. Hopefully they keep them together for awhile because they have great chemistry.
