Yeah I was wondering the same thing about the 7"s. Wonder if they were warped from the sun or if they're all that way at the warehouse.

Speaking of which.... anyone have the flexi discs for Backwards Pumpkin and Robot Pt. 3 they'd want to part ways with?

I talked to Zac about this at Warped Tour actually. The reasons he does it are 1) It saves money from having to make stampers for both sides. 2) Some of the records they've put out on 1 sided 12" wouldn't fit on a 7" without sounding horrible, especially since most of their songs are pop-punk or loud rock, cutting the grooves loud and tight would be a bad call. He gave the example of the new All Get Out EP and looking at the times, it just wouldn't have fit a 7"

Shoot. Just as I started collecting the whole surgery thing with Derek was happening. I contributed a bit and was thinking about getting the Soundsupply bundle and now I'm suppler regretting not getting it. Band's good all around.

Really stoked on this album. I think I'm finally getting the direction of this album. I have both of the singles and you almost feel an evolution just in those. Then the teaser almost seemed like something from a Mogwai album.... this is going to be good.

Excited for mine.... I ordered just the simple all purple one. I haven't gotten a shipping email yet though..... and that yellow color in color looks pretty sick. Wish I would have dropped the extra $5 for it.

Yeah I wasn't really attacking anyone for liking HT, I have 5 of their pressings, I always ship to the store and think they do a great job with keeping my records in a good condition. Still grapple with the price all the time though. I just bought a copy of '68 from them for $20 only to see it was $10 on MerchNow. Also side note: I think think the expensive shipping thing might be just when you decide to buy things. I think their new site simply restricts certain items (particularly new ones) from being shipped with Media Mail. I bought both this and TGG 2XLP repress with the Priority shipping (nothing else to choose) and then the very next day Media Mail was up. So if you hate the shipping, just wait.

I've never heard anyone say anything about them so I would love to know why. I only have the Honorary Title and Fall of Troy represses and they are both pretty good.

Yeah would love to know.... there's at least 1,000 though as that's how many MerchNow will let you order. I'm going to guess /2500 or something since it's the only variant besides HT

Yeah my copy wasn't horrible but I was less than excited as this was literally one of the only things I was looking for.... Agreed.... I started buying the Streetlight Manifesto LPs because they're good..... but alas they don't sound too hot. In fact, I prefer the MP3 versions of them much more. Which is horrible considering The Hands That Thieve is a 2XLP. Anyone could have made that sound good.... if only they cared.

Wanna say how much I love the new Merchnow layout. I just keep scrolling down now on their vinyl page and find tons of stuff that I thought was sold out. Yesterday picked up: Four Year Strong-ST, HT variant, looks nice. Peace'd Out-ST EP (For some reason it was only $4 so I went for it) No Devotion-10,000 Summers (Merchnow had copies of the B/W preorder for sale I grabbed it because I missed them just barely).

Yeah let's all be nice.... As stated above an all in one player isn't optimal, but if it's what you got, it's what you got. On the cheaper side are things like the Audio-Technica LP60/120 and the Numark TTUSB. A little above $100 but will definitely make your records last a little longer. 2) You only need to clean records when they're dirty. Clean a new record, especially if they come in a "haze variant" because they are almost sandy. You should probably dust out the sleeve of this kind too. Between listens however, you just need to use the brush to get off any hairs or tiny dust particles. Hope you get into the liking of vinyl. I started collecting seriously about 8 months ago and have 100 items now. Definitely an enjoyable hobby.

Anyone want to elaborate on Amazon/ShopRadioCast pre-orders before they are announced? Have the ever not come through? I'm assuming always the same color as everyone else? Other details? I'm just hesitant because these are announced sometimes much earlier than the label even mentions anything.... (with TWY The Greatest Generation repress was 3 1/2 weeks early....)

Maybe I'm on the out with this one..... I kinda like the design. It definitely wins as an art piece. Wouldn't buy one at that price but it really wins on the design side and I think they did at least SOME of their homework. Wins: 1) They give you a record weight to keep the record in place in the X-Axis. Good there. 2) The tonearm is adjustable just like any tonearm except that it uses springs for rebalancing. In one of the videos they claim it plays warped records better than most TT's. 3) They don't mention it but in one of the videos they do show them measuring the tracking force and it looked reasonable at something like 1.6 g. So I don't see it DESTROYING your records. The bigger thing to worry about here I think is unnecessary Y-axis movement and that either i) records will skip a ton or ii)the tonearm will wear down groove sidewalls. Fails: 1) The RCA and 1/8" jacks are both line level, meaning you have to use their internal preamp. They haven't posted audio sample yet so that could be good or bad. Although with a wood plinth you could probably wire your own RCA jacks that bypass the preamp. 2) The tonearm is pretty much ON the speaker, which doesn't sound like a good idea so in all reality you'd probably have to use external speakers anyway.... 3) Some other stuff I can't think of right now and no one is going to read anyways..... So maybe in the end this puts it somewhere above a Crosley and below like an Orbit?

Wanted to update you guys on this.... If you can explain how to upload photos here I have the breakdown from their tent. I went to the first day of Warped Tour and it made me pretty sad. The Warped Tour Variants are $30 each, why? Because you must buy them in a bundle with a T-Shirt. So if you want all 6 variants you'll also be getting 6 T-Shirts. They are all /350. The dates they are being sold at are as follows: Yellow Cover: June 19-26 Orange? (Crown) Cover: June 26-July 3 Green Cover: July 3-10 Red? (Burning Building) Cover: July 10-17 Blue Cover: July 17-24 Light Blue Cover: July 24-August 8 In the end I didn't get one. Fine with my other pre-order variant.... On a much happier note, the alternative cover artwork for "Wishful Thinking" is on SALE! On Merchnow it's $25 ($30) with shipping. At the tour it's only $15. I still didn't have money for it, but that's a good deal. Last but not least, there should be videos of their set uploaded soon. They were the very first band to play. Some kids were upset because they missed it, but it was a damn good set to open the day. Enjoy!

Neck Deep is doing Pre-Orders at their tent...... the album doesn't come out for two months. You get a sleeve and the record get's shipped to you. So I'm hoping Knuckle Puck will have PO, if not, I'll be on my phone right when this comes out haha. Actually, thinking back I think I pre-ordered a Fear Before album at one of their shows at well....

Haha agreed. The only source photo they used for that bazillion guy is him stacking records in huge palette bundles. He couldn't like start a charity and give everyone one white whale for free. Actually that could be an amazing charity! If my kids aren't interested in my collection, I'll do that.
