  1. Yeah, sorry... not literally. I know someone with a PS3, though, that I can ask. Let me get back to you. No dice. I'll keep my eyes open for one, though. You think somewhere like Gamestop may have one for cheap? I haven't been in one for a while, but last time I checked they sold used peripherals for fairly cheap.
  2. That setup. Wow. Can't tell if I'm there to support TFOT or to play some online bingo.
  3. Out of upvotes for a while, but you know what's up. How wild. "I lost count after 22" seems like a pretty absurd thing to say. I'm struggling with the validity of that article and her claims, but it's a wild story if it's true.
  4. Yeah, that's arguably even a teaser. I was unaware of the airing date, though, so at least that's something.
  5. Wait, where is this? This sounds exactly like something I'd be into. Scratch that. Found it.
  6. The crust is actually my favorite part of any pizza, so skimping on it is just sacrilege for me. I'm really curious to know why thin crust would make jalapenos and pineapple taste superior, though. Does it have to do with too much crust overwhelming their flavors? If someone made me a t-shirt with this printed on the front, I wouldn't even be mad.
  7. I guess so. I'm not looking to start a dispute, but whether you're facetious or not in this thread or others, I just think it's pretty silly (and pointless) to think that the outside majority is in the wrong for listening to what they enjoy. Lord knows that VC has its fair share of Hot Topic exclusives that I have zero interest in... but I don't think I'm better than anyone who's excited for them. You personally have a lot of great artists in your collection - in my opinion - so I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from. And I know you mentioned that you don't refer back to topics that you post in, but if you absolutely have to belittle an album, artist, or genre, you should at least be prepared to respond with a better choice... as opinionated as it may be. I'm all for discussing music that leads me and other users to discover new jams that I've been oblivious to. But if you fail to do that, it just looks like you're trolling for the sake of being an instigator. Apologies for any Sgt. Pepper confusion, too.
  8. I like this idea. There are a lot of records in my collection that I know some of my very good friends and fellow vinyl enthusiasts would enjoy. I'd love to see those go into their hands. Ideally, they'd pick whatever they wanted out of the collection in exchange for helping my family determine the value of everything else. I don't expect my parents or brother to research Popsike prices, but I cringe at the idea of them thinking "Well, Best Buy sells LPs for $17.99 on average. Let's make this easy; we'll say each one is $18 and call it a day." Or worse yet, listing "IKEA Expedit shelving unit. Great condition. All records included. $200 OBO" on Craigslist.
  9. But on the related note of death; have any of you considered what will happen to your collection when your time is up? It's a macabre thought, but one that needs to be considered, I think. Are you leaving it to a spouse? A best friend with similar tastes? Entrusting it to your family to sell? Do you wish to have your records burned, crushed, and spread across the ocean? Do you plan on being buried with them? Do you hope to be buried inside them, via wax coffin? I can't be the only one who's wondered what my collection will become, post-death. Did a quick search and didn't see this topic, though I wouldn't be surprised if there's been a similar thread or Small Talk tangent in the past. (I'll change the topic title soon enough.) [edit] lol duff.
  10. I know this response is a little late, but I can't really tell if you're being sarcastic here. The statement is pretty preposterous, and the exclamation mark only seals the deal with sarcasm. But the posts you make genuinely lead me to believe that you have a superiority complex here on the boards. At least as far as music goes. If I recall correctly, not too long ago you said something like "...especially compared to all the shit drone and ambient that VC claims to enjoy", or something along those lines. I inquired about that comment and you never bothered to back up your claim. So. That's cool. The beauty of music is that it is indeed subjective. There's no way that you or I are going to agree with everyone's tastes on these forums. And I think those fluctuating opinions are cool as hell. You know what's not cool, though? Making broad statements like "this forum's taste is a joke".
  11. Unknown Pleasures probably has this in the bag. And for being as [literally] iconic and definitive as it is, it deserves to win. But for the sake of shaking things up;
  12. Aye, that's the one. Good stuff. I can see where you're coming from, though; it's sort of a situational listen for me. I appreciate the album for what it is, but it just scratches all the right itches when the time is right.
  13. Which *shels album, may I ask? I quite like their second album, though there's nothing wrong with the first, at all.
  14. Gave it some thought. I've skipped a Sigur vote a time or two in preparation for this letter, so;
  15. I can't say that I'm familiar. I'd love to try one out at some point, though, if you're thinking it trumps Rio.
  16. I don't think I've ever had Del Taco. True story. I went on an impressive Taco Bell hiatus for a while there. Prior to the end of last year, I hadn't eaten Taco Bell in something like six years. I decided to give it another chance last November or so, and I've been hitting them up periodically since then. My bowels and I have had smooth sailing thus far, knock on wood. You guys ever fuck with Cafe Rio? Hands down the best Mexican food chain I've ever had. They have a signature pulled-pork taco that's out of this world. The chain is unfortunately owned by Mormons, so they're exclusive to the Utah area.
  17. Please elaborate on your chocolate preferences. I'm really curious. "Haters are just people with standards" seems like something I should've heard at some point, but haven't. I like it.
  18. Yeah, I've got to draw the line at Peeps. Still some pretty impressive candy synchronization, though, considering the amount of haters out there.
  19. [Fist bump.] But let me ask you this; how do you feel about Peeps? Okay, the name is downright awful. Won't even try to deny that.
  20. Yeah, I'm used to hearing that. Quite a bit, actually... I'm also down with [regular] candy corn, come Halloween.
  21. This always seems to raise a brow or two, but I'll openly admit that I enjoy [certain] brands of those chalky Valentine heart candies. I always try to scoop up a bag when they're on clearance.
