Not that I'm doubting you in the slightest, but do you have links to these auctions? They sound pretty asinine. What Beggars variant sold for $61? If it was clear or clear-white (or purple), I can understand. But the $45 for a sealed TIOS is blowing my mind.

Travis; I get the impression that you're not sure what color the HT-exclusive Colors will be on. Is that true? Kind of eager to hear or see what it is, before picking up a repress.

Do you own original copies already? Or are you just not a fan of the self-titled or SNW? They were far from my favorites as I was getting into the band. But had they been readily available at the time, I would've grabbed both just for the sake of completing the discography, while knowing that I'd warm up to them eventually.

My gold copy still has the shrink (and any stickers) on the sleeve. As far as I can tell, it's identical to the regular version's packaging. And if that seller is asking $125 for a copy of Beggars, I can almost assure you that their TIOS is on black. Otherwise, they'd probably be asking for $300. Ridiculous BINs are ridiculous.

I'd be all over that, too. Though in truth, I really couldn't care less as to what the variant is. Not having an original copy, I can safely say that I'd cherish the repress... regardless of how the wax looks. I'd love to see something unique like you've described, though.

I don't know why, but that "clear w/ black smoke" looks exactly how I imagine the upcoming Deftones self-titled repress to look.

I know it's stupid to even ask, but just for the sake of curiosity: is it identical to the Cinderblock copies? Same insert, color variant, and so on?

Pretty much that, right there. I know all the variant and pressing info was given in advance... and that works for me, sure, but a pre-order date would be awesome. I was unaware that it was kept a mystery until they're ready to sell. Animal Style took care of Thrice's Identity Crisis... and if I recall correctly, Matt had given an exact date (and time) that they'd be up for sale. I figured he'd do the same thing this time around, but he hasn't responded to the thread yet. If he does or doesn't, it's not a huge deal. I'm patient -- I'm just going to kick myself if I miss out on it.
