I believe it's either the TT or the preamp. The amp itself when having digital music through it is fine - no hum. I'll touch the tonearm when I'm back and see what happens. Don't believe there is any difference when tracking to the centre.

@allenh - wondering if you could give me an idea on grounding issues! I've been trying to eliminate the hum that I've had on my system (and previous ones) but it's not going well. Any advice you can offer? I was looking at a grounding box otherwise but those things a pricey.

Almost posted this days ago, but I didn't think Beatles really got much traction here! Similarly would love to own the flexis, so happy to buy this and enjoy it. Very little from the Beatles I wouldn't buy - despite not being in the 'boomer' age bracket.

Funny, I've just been looking into this as my collection has just been moved up to our second (or first I guess) floor. Without doing lots of fancy calculations, most standard construction floors and homes (UK at least) are estimated to hold up to something like 100 stone. I don't think that, unless you have thousands upon thousands, that it isn't a massive issue.
