I just hope that shit didn't roll back uphill to Hyper's source, and cost someone their publication job.  Depending on the label and how things are watermarked, he could take all the heat from someone who got careless here at VC.  I wouldn't say it's entirely expected – many moons ago, a download link was accidentally made available to everyone who pre-ordered Prawn's Kingfisher with swiftness.  The link got pulled within the hour, but there were probably 7-10 of us who grabbed the album months before its release date.  Topshelf logged into VC and genuinely asked that all of us keep it on lockdown and avoid leaking it, and somehow we all went months keeping it under lock and key.  Seth was so grateful he made an additional coupon code for the board, if I recall.  So it can happen.  There's just definitely different variables when you're talking about a select group who've paid for the album they're protecting, and a group who just want it because someone is offering.

Last August we sold our house.  Built a new house, finished it in October.  Then decided to finish the basement myself.  Been without records and audio for 10 months.  About 3 weeks ago I finished the basement enough to start moving stuff in.  It's a work in progress with still more stuff yet to come from the framers.  











 

Very best of luck with the opening! Looks great, sadly I won't be over from the UK any time soon as I've just returned from a trip state-side.
However, I'll hit you up if there is any must haves that I see on IG.

Not what you'd expect from the band name!

Well, my Louder Now arrived from Amazon on Friday - that was nice!

I'm rarely here anymore. We're still working on something.

A friend of mine tipped me off to a classifieds ad in the newspaper, 500 rock records for $75. I called the guy and met him 10 min later, he had them all pulled out, it was a goldmine. Some were pretty beat up and some even moldy, but others were VG+ or better. Filling out my collection with Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, Cream, CSNY, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, nothing exceptionally rare but at .15 a record this was a hell of a buy. I had to toss a ton and match covers up and many need a serious cleaning, but pretty minimal effort all things considering. Gonna hook up a few friends and sell what I don't want or have doubles of

First LP is a new stereo mastering of the original. It sounds superb, a really really solid job - well worth having on the shelf.
The second is the same tracks but different takes of them, apparently previously unheard. I believe there is chat on there too about how to make the song sound etc - looking forward to spinning it...might stick it on now.
Well worth the purchase I'd say - one of the all time great albums.

If you ever get the chance to see them live, take it. They're outstanding!
