I've had trouble listening to this band for the past couple of months since all of this stuff started leaking out. Not in the "ew they're problematic" way, I just don't have the emotional fortitude to try and listen "around" the issues, if that makes sense. It's never been easy for me to separate the artist from the art, but I don't begrudge anyone who can.
 
TWIABP were my favorite band for years. I felt some degree of closeness with their music that I don't often feel. The notion that one or more of them, people I respected and trusted, could have been consistently abusive is deeply upsetting. That probably sounds weird given that we don't know what happened, but something did happen, and now we're in the dark. Maybe that's worse?
 
I dunno, keep vinyl-ing as usual. I wasn't sure where else to post this. Shit sucks.

Cope didn't have any diversity so it grew stale pretty quickly for me. Hopefully they find a good balance with this album.

I think your response is really aggressive and you are just doing exactly what you said you hate about the board. You are literally no better than the people you are calling out by calling him a fuckhead or anyone else a fuckhead on the board.  This isn't meant to be a smart ass post but please take a second and read his message than read yours, yours is 10 times more aggressive. Also he never actually said you were being an ass he said you showed "Sass."

If you went through paypal, create a dispute and they'll speed up the process. Worked for me recently.

what is the point of having customer service if they aren't authorized to give refunds? Its such a "we are going to make it as hard as we can for you" so you forget about it routine.

But also, this is a good time to remind people that having an emergency fund that is equal to 3-6 months of your rent is important.
 
In the last few months my cat had an emergency vet visit, I had an emergency room visit including ambulance ride, and the wife needed four new tires for her car. We cut back on our spending a bit, but didn't have to scramble to get anything taken care of. Thanks emergency fund! Not a judgment on anyone, or bragging, just a reminder to try to save what you can for a rainy day.

Thread update: 10 pages later we have reached the Bull Moose Circle-Jerk Phase. Even when Bull Moose does wrong they get tugged. Not even in SRC's wettest dreams could they aspire to that status (and for good reason). But for real, BM is usually great and all, but something like this is no reason to be celebrating them. You can criticize but still approve of them.

And folks, we've entered the vinyl coloration speculation stage. This thread is only a young 26 going on 27. Much more to come! I eagerly await the "shipping notification/no shipping notification" stage, still over a month away.
