  1. The vocal/guitar tracks are laid down. Holy craptastic Batman.
  2. My father made the shelving unit of for me: It's sure is swell. It doubles as a bookcase for now.
  3. Art of the Underground Volume 3 box set. I'm guessing they haven't updated their website, but Reckless Records still has it listed for $19.99.
  4. I can't get it to work. Fucking firefox and not recognizing that I do indeed have the latest flash version.
  5. The vocals remind me of Joe Jack Talcum of the Dead Milkmen. Great stuff. I'll be downloading this. Thanks for the post.
  6. var ads = new Array("300x250-1.png","300x250-2.png","300x250-3.png"); var num = Math.floor(Math.random()*ads.length); if(Math.floor(Math.random()*2) == 0) { if(Math.floor(Math.random()*2) == 0) document.write('+':vmd7he5t]'); else document.write('+':vmd7he5t]'); } else { document.write(''); }
  7. This thread makes me laugh...among many other reactions... Let's try to find a movie that has Natalie Portman where she doesn't cry! I can't think of any.
  8. Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is so delicious. It was a newly featured beer at a bar in Long Beach where I saw the Swingin' Utters. I've been in love with it ever since. Dogfish Head makes some mighty delicious beers. Beerwars is a very well done, interesting film. And as an IPA freak, I have to say that Samuel Adam's Noble Pils is freaking amazing. Cheap too.
  9. I'm excited for the Gogol Bordello and Flogging Molly releases. I wish the Mountain Goats were releasing a record rather than a DVD though. And no Flight of the Conchords this year.
  10. Ordered. That makes 1 out of the 3 AJJ releases for the year...
  11. Everything Is Illuminated Inglourious Basterds There Will Be Blood
  12. That's always been a dream of mine. You couldn't have said it better. So yeah. Natalie Portman and this business venture.
  13. Mario 1 & 3 Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat Dig Dug Dr. Mario Bubble Bobble Excitebike Tetris Rampage If any of you haven't heard of , you need to treat yourself to the videos of this hacked game. He must be the world's best Mario player to get through all of these. Absolutely insane stuff.
  14. What about Baby Ruth bars? No one!? That's sad. I guess since they're sugary, Tic-tacs and Wint-o-green Lifesavers are both highly addicting minty candy.
  15. I bought this. They're hand numbered and I'm assuming self released. And I received it within 2 days of ordering. That's quite a reaction speed. Kudos to the Margot store.
  16. Margot and the Nuclear So and So's - Bird/Bubbleprick #208/1000 This shipped super fast. Congrats to the Margot webstore.
  17. The actor who plays Hugo Stiglitz (the guy who kills all the Nazi officers) actually has a really high pitched, whiney voice. It's hilarious. I introduce to you Far Cry, a movie from Uwe Boll, starring Hugo Stiglitz. This movie is a piece of shit, but that's what one expects from Uwe Boll. The poster art is great though. So is the soundtrack on vinyl.
  18. "Hopefully, by the time we hit the road we will have a new 7" split with our dear friends in The Gunshy. This record will be brought to you by the big brains behind the AJJ pillowcase, Silver Sprocket Bike Club." And they have a 7" split coming from No Idea Records and a 12" coming from Asian Man Records. It's going to be a swell year for AJJ releases.
  19. Yeah, you had it right. There's a plan of having 8 albums with a total of 99 cover songs all together. All 4 bands with have a mixture of the members of Streetlight but they will be different styles. There was a really old announcement (2003?) about a straight up punk band called Man Bites Dog. This might be one of the two yet unnamed bands. The project is attempting to cover songs in new styles/genres. Tomas Kalnoky also made mention of covering traditional European folk songs after translating them into English. This should be a pretty ambitious project, and with their track record, expect the records before 2030.
  20. I've been thinking about getting a new turntable since I won a gift certificate from amazon.com. I've been searching over the available models and most have mixed reviews. I'm leaning towards a Pioneer or an Audio Technica. Both are pretty cheap models and they have a good rating. Thoughts? Or I'll simply buy another stylus.
