"One of the first ten producers within the synthwave scene..." Is that a thing now? Seems pretty arbitrary and hard to prove. As if the label wanted to church this guy up a bit and didn't have anything to embellish except that he's kind of an OG, sorta.

What, roughly speaking, is "really cheaply"? -
Interesting. Since you are a willing eyewitness, can you tell us who makes the turntable and/or it's various parts?

No shit. And they claim it integrates with Sonos as well, but I believe other -ahem- more established companies have had issues with this.

It's already listed several places around $10 lower than Amazon. That is a reasonable price to me. -

Great band. Their last two records have killed it and this sounds right on par. $34 is too much for an LP, though, so I'll be waiting on this to get a bit less precious before I order. -
Death Waltz secured the rights to TP and FWWM pre-merger and they are still coming out on the DWRC imprint/label post-merger. DWRC has said TP is coming in August many times in the past two months or so, but no firm release, and said that FWWM will be coming "later this year" a couple of times as well. No other reliable info regarding release dates is out there at this time.

I posted this in the cassette collective forum, but thought it might be of interest here as well despite the lack of a vinyl offering at this time: https://telefuturenow.bandcamp.com/album/beyond-the-infinite

I'm 100% certain that it was a preview of this same release. Those images are directly from the film as well; they just didn't jog my memory at the time. -

I must confess, it's been years for me as well. I have two questions. One, there are thirty copies of the original US LP on Discogs right now and the most it ever sold for was $20 and the average is $9 so is there more music on here than has been previously released or are they relying on a snazzy LP presentation and the film's relative obscurity to raise interest in the score at a higher pricepoint? Second, and speaking of the presentation, I wonder how the glitter part will work? Glitter pretty well stinks in any form. Except as a prank. I wonder if this will somehow be sealed in so that it can't get all over...well, everything. Side Note: Clerk, was it you who posted the W$YK teaser from a couple of months back (I can't be arsed to look on my phone)? I think I guessed Buckaroo Banzai at the time, but this new tease seals the deal for me. -

Are you finding most of these at thrift stores? Because I hardly find any tapes at all there. I do find them marked up in 2nd hand music shops all the time, however.

But it isn't really the Exorcist since the music only appears in one trailer you've likely never seen. That said, in general, I agree: The Exorcist is the bestorcist. It in fact has no music your good self, or anyone else, would associate with the film. I think the story is pretty cool, too, but not an uncommon one; there are several "rejected" scores that have seen releases, both official and unofficial. The little bit of the score I've heard is very atonal and, again, everywhere I've read makes it sound like only 10-15 minutes of music was recorded. I guess I'm interested for any number of reasons you all have raised, but I'll be curious to see how much music is on this release and of what quality before really making up my mind.
