I'm guessing it's from the original tapes. The Californication tracks are the worst and that has legendary brick walling. Chris Bellman cut it. I'm sure he did the best he could with what he had

Got this. Flat and quiet. Pressed at Pallas USA. Unfortunately it's mastering is shit. Standard sleeve and plain paper inners. Records are a marbled gray not silver.

Here's that bad label. Funny

Just got my Newbury version. I forgot which version was which. The label, which notes it's the NC version, says clear and white with pops of pink and red. So I was surprised when the records were clear and white with pops of blue and yellow. Had to look back to see what it was supposed to be. I guess the label is way wrong. Records look good though.

I'm pretty sure I got one of the first ones if not the first one. It went up almost a day before you posted. I was sitting at my computer and my update notification went off (I'm waiting for a Christmas 7" to go up). I have every other LCD white label, so I ordered with no hesitation. I got #60. I just assumed they started there.
