Everything about TLOU release is fantastic. Pressing sounds great. Box is nice. Art is beautiful. Even the shipping box was legit (super secure). Great job Mondo.

I got my shipping notification about 2 hours after I purchased. Looks like its being delivered tomorrow too.

I ordered some 12"s from Mister Saturday Night. I got them really quick but they accidently swapped out one that I ordered for another one I didn't. I shot them an email asking how I could swap them and what the next steps were> First of all, they wrote back immediately, apologizing, and said they would send out my 12" that night (which I also received really quickly). On top of that they said I could keep the wrong 12" and there was no need to ship it back (which was unbelievably cool because its been OOP for a while). They also sent some stickers for my "trouble". Great label.

I made a comment similar in the Daft Punk thread, but some people seem to confused as to the definition of what flipping is. Flipping is buying and then reselling something in the short term. People reselling those Red House Painter boxes before the individual reissues hit, that's flipping. Selling a record that's been OOP for a few years isn't. Assuming you are selling where the market is, that's just selling. Maybe you can call it gouging, but it's not flipping. I only bring up the semantics because it would resolve a bit of the debate in the thread about what is considered flipping and whats not.

Yeah, I don't know about that generalization, but in this case, the market seems to have taken the price up. Now if you want to call it gouging in some cases, I'm sure you can make that argument. Usually flipping implies capitalizing on a hot market in the short term. Taking a longer term position can't really be considered flipping. Not to sidetrack the thread, but some mentioned flipping a couple of times, so I thought that maybe I misunderstood what some are considering flipping.

Is selling an OOP record from 5 years ago still considered flipping? But it's great that people have a chance at this again. Hopefully it's as good as the original.

Pretty sure they just announced a box set of his first 8-9 albums.

Ok, so the 7" is the title track (well, its entitled B'lieve I'm Going Down...). Its probably not the first single though because its a solid mellow KV+V track, but the only lyrics are "Believe I'm Going Down" repeated over and over again. if the music is an indication of the album, its going be a fantastic album. Looks like the pre-order is going up Tuesday. Out the last week of Sept. They are taking pre-orders at Pitchfork Fest. $30 gets you a pre-order of the deluxe 3LP and when you order, you get a 1 sided 7" of the new single. The pre-order card that comes with the 7" ( essentially a 1 time use promo code to get the album from the web store without paying - because I paid here at p4k) goes live Tuesday. So I'm guessing that's when Matador puts up the pre-order for everyone. No details on colored vinyl, heavyweight, track listing or whatever. His set was shortened due to rain so he played no new songs. Bit I'm really looking forward to this album.
