I might be wrong but I feel like for the previous year's subscription (2012), you might have ended up ahead if you had just bought all the releases separately. The obi-strips are totally flimsy. 2011 was a good investment even if it fell short of the 30+ promised 12"/7"'s. How many releases have we even gotten in 2012: 5 lps and 5 7"'s? It can't be very many more than that.

renter's insurance covers records but I'd question your ability to get fair value for them. i'd expect a flat rate of $5-10 lp, maybe you could get what you paid for them if you had receipts. good luck trying to convince an insurance company that some lp by a band they've never heard of is worth more than that. unless you're meticulous about taking pictures and providing proof of past sales. i would think most collectibles would have to be appraised to get money out of the insurance companies.
