  1. I will not let this thread die!!!!! New post on my blog tackling this topic with some humor. A couple high quality pictures of the white vinyl for anyone interested. http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/ Have a nice day.
  2. I have pictures of all three up on my blog. I got a pretty good picture of the green one in the light too. If anyone cares... http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/
  3. I will definitely add your blog to my list. The more record collecting blogs the better. PS. I have all the Jane Does as well. Share the love!
  4. Oh yeah. It's true. I have watched him ban people for life from the store in front of my eyes. It is terrifying. Two rules, don't complain about the prices and two don't try to barter. He prices punk, hardcore and metal high. That is just the way it is. Don't bother complaining about it or Armand or one of his sons will boot you out on your ass. On the flip side, he treats me like a son and gives my girls lollypops everytime I go in with them.
  5. Congrats on getting married and welcome to God's country! First of all forget about Lake Louise/Jasper/Banff for anything but honeymoon stuff. There is nothing there for music let alone records. Edmonton - Octopus Ink. Very rare but expensive records on the wall. Tonnes of grind and crust. More used metal than you can flip through with a wife waiting. It is as punk as punk gets. Oh and rare seven inches are in cases you ask to see. Amazing stuff but some bootlegs in there. Know your business or you can get burned. Calgary: 1. Sloth Records. Your wife will have hours to shop the boutiques on 17th Avenue so you can check it out with no pressure. Mainly new indie and punk. Lots of dvds and books too. 2. Melodiya. Attached to a comic book store so make it quick before your wife second guesses who she married. Insane amount of new vinyl. All types. Major label audiophile too. can take hours. 3. Recordland. Largest selection of used records you will ever see in your life. Aisles of used records six rows high. Cds, cassettes, 8 track, 78's. Must be seen to be believed. Drop me a IM if you want more info.
  6. I got ripped off big time from this guy. I won four auctions off him all ending within 10 minutes. He had no problem sending me a combined invoice with shipping. I paid it and then nothing. A few weeks later a bunch of negative feedbacks pop up on the guy and I am in so many words - fucked. No email get replied to, paypal and ebay are no help as I am too late to do anything about a claim, and I am out a big chunk of change.
  7. Reaper Records also has an additional 2 colors available in their webstore as well. http://www.reaper-records.com/store/index.php?cPath=31 They couldn't just make this easy and have one pre-order for all the colors huh? :
  8. Up at Bridge Nine. http://www.b9store.com/ Postage is a bear on this one if you go for all the versions. $50 in merch, $40 in postage to Canada. Ouch!
  9. $265!!!! That is insane. If anyone is interested in what both look like together, I posted some pictures on my blog. http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/
  10. Yeah. It came yesterday and I am in Canada. I posted some pictures of it on my blog. http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/
  11. Oh Yu, you are far too nice to everyone. We need to foster resourcefulness and independence into the hardcore community. Well that and I couldn't be bothered to link the site.
  12. Preorders are up at Bridge Nine. Find it yourself. You are all smart, strapping young lads.
  13. Fucked Up 7" x3 Soundgarden 7" Mastodon - Blood Mountain 2 x lp Also picked up: Ascend - Ample Fire Within Pelican - What We All Come To Need and online from Dr Strange: Sick of It All - 7" on clear Exactly and everything that I wanted.
  14. They are up for sale early bitches! It's a celebration! Enjoy yourself!
  15. 1/1? I fucking rule!!!! This is No Idea we are talking about, all their purple/grey is just a shit mix and I figure all of them are a little different if you looked close enough. I would also be interested if there is a straight up grey/salmon someone could post a picture of.
  16. I have some pictures up at my blog. I do a color comparison as well. http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/2010/01/cursed-last-session-7.html
  17. Thanks for the plug Yu! Yeah, I tried throwing in my 2 cents worth on the color deal. Here is the link if anyone is interested: http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/
  18. Kiss - Alive II back in 1977. It was mindblowing to see a gatefold for the first time plus a full color 12x12 booklet.
  19. Genre first (punk/hardcore, metal, alternative), then alphabetic by band and chronological by album.
  20. 3170. 1170 are 7". I guess that makes it 2000 lps, although there are a few 10" and oddball sizes in there as well. More importantly, two full 4x4 Expedits and 11 7" boxes. I implore all record labels out there, please less gatefolds. I'm seriously running out of room.
  21. There was no difference in the blue at all. The Dead Format entry is wrong as is the B9 discography for that matter. That was the whole point of the immediate white 2nd press. The blue came back from the pressing plant and it was all the same. People had the option to pre-order three colors. An email went out from B9 that you would get all your three colors if you were willing to wait for the white press from the plant. If you weren't able to wait they would refund you the third lp or send you the white at a later date. If you got blue, that is all there is. It may have a little white streaking in it, but that is the only blue press. Here is the post from Bridge Nine on what happened at the time http://www.bridge9.com/article/110
  22. Bought it. I made such a big deal about it on my blog, I pretty much had to get it first chance I could. You should see how much I put in for my high bid in case I got sniped.
  23. That would be me. I ended up getting it for less than the going rate of a Jane Doe on red/orange. It's all good.
  24. Unbelievably expensive! Not too difficult if you are patient with ebay and HYE. Chain Crew was over $650 alone. Confusion $400. True Till Death on clear over $400. Totally worth it though!
