it all started when i was 7 years old.  My sister and i both had 45's of we built this city by Starship.  I was rocking out so hard that I accidentally stepped on hers, so i had to give her mine.

Fast forward to today my collection consists of a few Corey Hart albums and roughly 600 copies of we built this city by starship.

I really hope that someone, somewhere, has cherry-picked their favorite contributions to these "research" threads (or survey websites) to share in a PowerPoint presentation.  Ideally among peers.

"Going off the sample pool taken from 'Vinyl Collective', you can see right here that the current consumer of vinyl over the age of 20 was introduced to the format through cat gifs.  There's also an indication that vinyl connoisseurs residing on the East coast share a correlating belief in worshipping the devil, and a select percentile found themselves entering the vinyl world solely to fashion bowls."

This is 100% the redubbed version everyone is complaining about. The difference is obvious
Not saying its bad either. I'm fine with this version.

If you guys can live without the purdy blue variant, last year's Euro repress appears to have the original samples, for what it's worth.  If you already picked up the newest blue press, it's debatably worth it to shell out ~$25 PPD for one song... but if you're on the fence and own neither yet, I'd suggest going for that one.  Sound quality appears to be a mixed bag depending on who you ask, but at least you know you're getting the original samples if they're that important to your listening experience.

I can sympathize with the scene hair since he's from Russia where MySpace is probably blooming for the first time – which means Facebook, iPhones, and many strides from 2007 aren't far off at all, and I'm genuinely excited for him – but I still don't get how or why it'd be implied that RTJ3 moves at a slower pace than RTJ1 or RTJ2.

Aww man, RTJ2 has so many fucking bangers though!"

Is it just me, or are All My Life, Early, Crown, and even Angel Duster on the slower side?  They certainly don't go any "harder" than the moments on RTJ3 that aren't as aggressive or instantly catchy as the immediate standouts.  Maybe that's just me.  RTJ3 wasn't as immediately gratifying with its hooks on the first listen or two but after getting comfortable with it, I'd call it a very well-paced record that's on par with their prior catalog.  3 for 3 in my books.

I was sorely disappointed to open this thread and discover my music project is called pirate, and I’m going to be one of the biggest in the world is not the name of a new emo band.

I went to TR to order MONO and was pleasantly surprised to see these two there too.  Between Grails, MONO, Eluvium and Basinki, TR is getting a lot of my dough this month!  Hoping the rest of the Vol 1. material gets individual releases in the coming year!

You're doing God's work, my friend. Thanks for the heads up! Amazingly it's only 53p cheaper than getting it from the US directly. Just like everything else that's not perfect in my life, I blame Brexit.

whoa reacted to Derek™ in Converting Cassette tapes onto Vinyl?
I don't really see what the point would be.  It'd be a lot more realistic and cost-effective to just get a tape deck (if you don't own one already) to play your tapes.  Since the audio's source is cassette, it's not going to receive any sort of boost to its fidelity or clarity if you converted it over to vinyl, right?  It'd save you from having to manually rewind, but that's about the only benefit I could see.

Unless, true to your name, you're looking to scratch and remix some albums that were previously exclusive to tape.  Then I totally get where you're coming from.

Is that what it is?  My bad.  As someone approaching 30, I seem to be falling further and further behind with VC's classic fecal comparisons.

Not sure if it's been covered yet as nothing turned up in search, but we've got some Lenticular Minecraft Clear Vinyl left for Non-US  customers (Standard lenticular and Black vinyl available for US-heads) and Hohokum Soundtrack in both US and International collections if anyone's interested!

The family-incest angle is both very sophisticated and edgy, I've got to say.  When I see that dished out in an argument, I tend to step down immediately since there's a good chance we're barking up the tree of a certifiable badass.
