Ok really guys? If anyone can show me a bad Alex G song I will give you my entire record collection.... Can't wait to look like an absolute genius and be a millionaire in 50 years because of my rare records and wealth of knowledge on the world's future most respected musical artist. All I can say is that if you don't like every single thing ever released by this person/band then you haven't listened to them enough, simple truth right there.

Me too. $30 doesn't seem terrible for a 2LP, though it's certainly no bargain. I guess I don't mind because I'm happy to see/help the band receive some reward for their efforts. Far easier for me to justify than spending comparable sums on some reissue where the original artist is at best peripherally involved & minimally rewarded.

Crazy how many labels have jumped on this already. Interesting to see all the variants (colors, as is typically the variant), but even more so how the different labels are going to handle artwork and packaging. The cover is the cover, but they're including a bunch of files for designing the back, insides, inner sleeves, A/B labels, etc. so there's a TON of possibilities for these to come out wildly different from one another, aside from vinyl color. 
 
Holding out on this, personally. Not sure why. In a way I'd like to know more about packaging and make a selection based on that, but with how limited all of these are going to be and how rabid the fanbase is, waiting isn't going to work in my favor.

I don't. We're mostly just expressing brand loyalty this time out, like picking a back patch for your jacket. And Blood Music is one of my favorite labels going these days (along with Castle Face and very few others), so I'll be psyched to "wear" their version.
 
What I'm really waiting on are the crazy versions, like the one that comes spread out over a bunch of different colored, sized and shaped singles. Or the one housed in a pop-up book designed by scarecrowoven (ltd. to 5 hand-signed copies each with silkscreened poster). Or the one that's been taught to a custom-bred parrot.
 

Isbell shows are fantastic, you should definitely think about going. This run should be more rock focused too.

We've all missed pre-orders before, and it sucks. But the original announcement (and a few subsequent clarifications by SC) made it clear that this would be super-limited. I'm all for short-period pre-orders as opposed to long, long periods when it then takes forever for something to get pressed and released. 

just got a response from Nick at Secretly Canadian and he said the following:
 
"Sadly, it's looking very unlikely that there will be any additional copies. I believe the pressing ended up being around 600 copies."

No, but keep a really, really close eye on Secretly Canadian's Twitter, FB page, and website over the course of the next week--occasionally, with releases like this, they put a few extra copies up for sale online (I'm thinking of the Songs: Ohia 7'' box, which they had a few copies of). No guarantees, but it's probably your best bet.

If you haven't initiated a chargeback on this, I'd highly recommend doing so.  My first and only cancelled order ever - see a few pages ecsback - which made me sick because I love RD and Elliot was really trying to get these jams to his fellow US citizens for a good price. Alas, he made a poor choice
