  1. I think it's ridicule to throw away a perfectly good mailer that can be reused unless you're an official store. Also +1 for the perpendicular cardboard lining mention!
  2. I tried to see in his video but it's not in the shot. That was my first guess too since the higher the volume, the more vibrations gets to the turntable thus making it skip a high volume. I see a white spot spinning on your record, is it dirty? If so, remember to never touch the grooves!
  3. It sounds like a very interesting project. But... As I remember, I had a lot of troubles with cassettes with the tape stuck in the player and having bad sound with time. I do not trust magnetic tapes in the long run. The portability and ease of recording was the only upside.
  4. Fatwreckwiki members are usually the firsts to place orders so they take the lowest order number for that release and compare it to any order number placed today. First order # was something like 179000 and yesterday my order number was 180199.
  5. The bonus tracks/demos from that 1234Go! unreleased re-release of the EP are on youtube, got them ripped. let me know if you want me to send them to you. I would really like that please! Also check Jesse's new art here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessemichaelsart/sets/72157628935586857/
  6. It was available when I checked around midnight. It's sold out now...
  7. Hello all of you vinyl lovers. I have a good chunck of Bosstones singles but some are missing and/or I'd like doubles and color variants. My most wanted : Rascal King 7" Last dead mouse 7" Don't worry Desmond Dekker 7" If you have some more Bosstones vinyl you are willing to part with, give me your list and approximative price requested. Thank you, peace.
  8. Dear ruthe046, Hey! Just wondering what a serious offer might entail. I doubt you're going to to find many Brand New fans (15-30 years old) who have $2500 lying around. I'd like to make a real offer but don't know what you're truly expecting. Thanks ____________________ Best offer I'd be willing to accept right now would be $2,000 for the set. I know there aren't a lot of bn fans out there who can afford this collection, but they do exist, so I am willing to hold out for the right buyer to come along if this is still out of your price range. Let me know! Thanks - ruthe046 ___________________ Dear ruthe046, Oh wow, yeah that's totally out of my price range. I'm extremely curious to how you came up with that number? Especially since YFW prices have plummeted to below $100 for sealed copies, 7"s at $50 max and Devil God at $100 a piece? ___________________ Sealed copies of YFW 1st pressing are $100 each, but specific colors are still hard to find and selling for 150-200, getting all the colors at once is a hard find, and the cost of the time it would take to find them is definitely a factor (so I'd say $1,000 for all 4 colors is fair). Reissues of YFW are $200 total for all 3 copies (and rising). Devil and god are 100-150 each(also rising). Deja $250. 7" promos 100-150 each. Putting the grand total somewhere between $2,000 and $2,500. I'm not looking to just give this away. I planned on posting this and having it sit for awhile for my right buyer to come along. $1,000 would definitely be giving it away. In the first 30 hours since posting I've had several people add it to their watch list, and nearly 200 have viewed. And I'm patient and looking to sell to a fan, not someone who's looking to profit off me. Thanks - ruthe046 ______________________ Dear ruthe046, How cow man - not to sound like an ass but you are completely delusional. My best friend asked Iodine recs here on eBay for black and white sealed (yes she knows what colors they are) and got both for $150, free shipping. Also, you are blind if you think you can get $200 for the reissues. Black is consistently going for $20, white $20 and blue $50. Check completed listings. Devil and God is on par but they're not rising. They've been stationary for the last 6 months. Deja maybe gets you $250. 7" are always $50-$60 and have been for 3 years. Also, not to burst your bubble but people are "watching" this and viewing because people are making a mockery of you and your price on a vinyl forum board. Your link has been copy and pasted with unbelievable sarcastic remarks beneath. If you want some real takers, I'd suggest lowering your BIN price by 50%. Again, not trying to be a dick - you might just want to do a little research. What 25 year old has $2000 lying around in this economy? For records?!? I think it's pointless to argue with anyone overpricing something on eBay. You could spend all your time doing that.
  9. It's not worth as much as those two Popsike archives. I bought a VG+ one on eBay a few months back for $20 max. It's fun, but not $77 fun.
  10. Just press "Request total" and wait a few days for god's sake!
  11. KOI Records charged me $6.50 for shipping on a big package that costed them $30 to ship. Since everything was 50% off I saved a ton of money and sent an extra $10 as a thank you gift. They are great. They also added like 5 extra records and 5 cds for free.
  12. Great topic. About two years ago, someone from the UK was selling the very first Rush seven inch single called "You can't fight it" for $85. It was made in 1973 on 1000 copies on their own Moon label. They were almost all given as promo copies to radio stations so you know they're fucking rare. The record was just put up on eBay for a few minutes so I rushed to Popsike's website to check on the price and it was normally going for $1000! I go back to check on the description wich had almost nothing except "VF" as the condition. What is "VF"? Very fair? We all know that a record known a "Good" will sound like it's pressed on cardboard and look like shit so I asked the seller if the record was alright and a few minutes later a got a reply that he meant VG. I went to buy it and it was already gone. I should have bought it on the spot and ask questions later... I'm sure I will never get such a chance ever again.
  13. I'm in Canada and the price on the package is almost always between $6 and $8 for a single LP.
  14. I live in Saint-Hyacinthe so if you're up for the drive I might sell AM Total Clarity (colored). I also have a AM Reinventing Axl Rose on glow in the dark vinyl /100.
  15. That's surprising. I don't see this album that often in a brand new state. I'm still waiting for a reissue box set of their whole catalogue. I'm not holding my breath for it since there has not been any news for it for about 2 years.
  16. I suppose you wouldn't have any problem shipping to Canada?
  17. Update : After a PayPal claim, PayPal asked me to ship the records back with a tracking number to France of all places even thought my order shipped from California. That would cost more than the order itself so I'm shit out of luck. I lost $40. DON'T DEAL WITH DISCEMPYRE.com, they don't know what they're doing and don't know much about vinyl.
  18. Anyone going to the Throwdown that can get me one too? That would be ace!
  19. Of course it was pressed and repressed! Check anywhere like eBay, discog or clubbastardo (Primus' store). You should at least try a simple search before asking questions like that. For your information, the original Frizzle Fry was pressed on many different colors, like green, yellow and black. I've seen a seller on ebay with about 5 different colors of the original pressing wich sold for about $20 each. The recent repressing is 180 gram black vinyl and it includes an extra track. Great quality.
  20. I just ordered another set of classic earrings for my girlfriend. She likes them a lot but she lost one last year. I think it's the 3rd or 4th time I order from them and I'm always satisfied. Recommended!
  21. I just got a package from Disc-Empyre. They have many NOFX records listed as new and colored. I sent an email asking if they were really colored but didn't get response so I took a chance. So the package was really well secured (a box inside another box) but the records are just standard black vinyl. They say they have no way of telling if the records are colored or not and that the UPC code is right for the colored version. Now I have to ship them back and they better refund my shipping. What a bunch of amateurs. They have a weird website too so don't deal with them!!!
  22. This may be a bit unrelated but it's close enough. Elvis Costello recommend fans not to buy his overpriced record : http://blogs.houstonpress.com/rocks/2011/11/elvis_costello_to_fans_dont_bu.php
  23. My local store can have them for 22$. I guess I'll wait until I find a good deal.
