THE MOUNT FUJI DOOMJAZZ CORPORATION is a live improv jazz / drone / doom sideproject consisting of the THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE members Gideon Kiers, Jason Köhnen, Charlotte Cegarra, Hilary Jeffery, Eelco Bosman, Nina Hitz, and Sarah Anderson and various interchanging guest musicians including Ron Goris. Following „Doomjazz Future Corpses“ and „Succubus“, "Anthropomorphic" constitutes the third released session of TMFDC.
Since the members of TMFDC live scattered among Rotterdam, Paris, Berlin, and London, they rarely tour. This in turn makes each of their single shows a special event, and if they do play a show, they don't mind longer trips. Consequently, it is not a surprise that "Anthropomorphic" has been performed and recorded in three parts in Utrecht / The Netherlands, Wroclaw / Poland, and Moscow / Russia.
Despite being recorded in three segments, "Anthropomorphic" is a coherent single entity and is based on a plan, like all the TMFDC improv sessions. Following this plan, TMFDC have created another mesmerizing, exalted, disturbing, and atmospheric piece of art. Always activating different talents of its many members, no album of TMFDC or their studio counterpart THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE resembles the other, and "Anthropomorphic" makes no exception.

Org Music replied to someone on their IG post that they are using best possible sources for the reissues (some analog, some hi res digital) based on what was available after a couple of years searching and legal wrangling, etc.  I’m paraphrasing but they ended by saying they felt these versions would sound better that the original pressings.   Hope I Against I and God of Love get included at some point.

Got my copy from Milan records on Saturday.  Spun it last night while decorating my Xmas tree, and with my girlfriend reading  some Korean e-comic on the couch, and it was drizzling outside. 
 
it was super comfy and the record sounded amazing!

Wonder if the delay is for COVID reasons, or these massive production delays (which, I guess are also COVID related). 
 
Either way, June is a way better time to line up outside a record store than mid April.

Any chance of other albums being released?  K-OS is sorely under represented in the vinyl department.  I was so happy when BLack on BLonde got pressed, and so mad when an abridged picture disc showed up in the mail

Update from Soulwax on Nite Versions:   The NITE VERSIONS vinyl re-issue will be released in Belgium, Netherlands, France, and UK as part of Record Store Day this Friday. Unfortunately, due to factory issues plus Covid restrictions, it has been delayed in some other countries. We are doing our utmost to rectify this and will endeavour to send it out to more records stores asap. It will most likely be out in the US on 18th December.

Ugh, can't justify this right now but that Maybes EP is still one of my favourite releases ever. It's just a collection of perfect sounds! 

Hopefully the EP will be released separately at some point.

$47.79 to the US for one copy. I am buying this for the bonus songs and on the provision that I sell my OG as well, it's the only way to balance the cost. That's frankly outrageous to charge but I'm a sucker because it's a pivotal album in my early exploration phase.
