I’m still on the hunt for Bill Evans Behind the Dikes if anyone happens to see it for sale for a reasonable price. US based seller preferred. -

Was able to grab one a couple days ago from Plaid Room. Thank you though. For anyone still on the hunt for these I've noticed a lot of UK shops still have them but between conversion rates and shipping it ends up being just as expensive as flipper prices. -

As someone else had mentioned Plaid Room is putting stuff up in drips and drabs (as they get cancellations I'm assuming). Sign up for text alerts and you might get lucky, I was able to get the last thing I was searching for. -

On second thought, Newbury has everything marked up. Think I'll roll the dice at a different store later in the day. -

Anyone have any firsthand experience with their boots? Prices for this stupid record have gotten really out of control.

PO NOW: Deafheaven - Infinite Granite (08/20)
pepperonigin replied to archiced's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm in for the cloudy blue, love how it compliments the artwork. Also, according to the album description the single seems in line with the direction of the entire album. I happen to like it so I'm excited to hear the whole thing. "Over the course of their first ten years, Deafheaven’s music vacillated between tormented beauty and harmonic rage—a hybrid of black metal’s malice and shoegaze’s sublime wall-of-sound. On their fifth album, Infinite Granite, Deafheaven are no longer toying with the juxtaposition of pitting metallic abrasion against swirling grandeur. Quite the opposite: Infinite Granite is a bold and brave leap forward, a gorgeous and invigorating album brimming with style and splendor. In the context of their catalog, it takes on a whole other layer of defiant beauty. Across Infinite Granite, vocalist George Clarke showcases a startling vocal range; falsettos, whispers, multi-part harmonies, and other adventurous vocal treatments, with his trademark black metal-inspired howls mostly absent. Guitarists Kerry McCoy and Shiv Mehra expand their sonic palette to include synth textures using them to enrich their astral guitar work rather than outright replace it. Drummer Daniel Tracy has always been a force to reckon with behind the kit, but where he used to floor audiences with his speed and stamina, he’s now free to broaden his approach and lay down authoritative drum patterns that together with bassist Christopher Johnson’s punchy bass lines anchor the band’s lofty arrangements." -

Amazon has the set for $288 right now. Still expensive obviously but a nice little $60 discount. I might have to pick this up. -

Yeah and I actually emailed them earlier asking for a shipping update (the only reason I asked was because they are usually so quick and others were getting them) and they told me they were waiting for them to arrive and they should’ve been sold as preorders. Strange response. Where did you get one, if you don’t mind me asking? -

Yeah, the new single is decent. Gonna wait to hear more before pulling the trigger though. The last one wasn't very good at all, love the rest of their discography though so hoping for a turnaround. -

Curious to see what color scheme they do for Leaves. I just picked up the standard black from Numero so I'm hoping it's not too awesome looking. Although black definitely fits the jacket and theme of the album. Great to see all of these get repressed either way.
