To be honest, his solo shows were my favorite. He would always play 2 and a half to 3 hour sets and his stories in between songs were always great and he seemed like such a nice, humble and poetic person. Out of all the musicians that have died during my lifetime, this one hurts the most.

Man, totally crushed by this. My wife and I danced to Chris's cover of "Thank You" at our wedding and we just saw him with Temple of the Dog in LA last year. To me he was the voice of Seattle.

I also feel extremely lucky that I got to see him perform with Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. I never got to see him on any of his solo tours. Damn, this is a tough morning.

Weirdly I was really captivated by that last track.  need to spin this more times, but my fav track beyond Sugar For The Pill is No Longer Making Time.  I agree on the length... I do wish it were longer, but the price was right for the length, heh.

A others have noted and in my experience most items like this that have thousands of copies end up coming down in price. Same goes for a good amount of RSD titles. If you can hold off from the initial craze you'll probably be better off buying it from someone when it comes out. Because remember a quarter of the people buying this now are probably just going to throw it on the bay when it gets released. So just hold off and track it down when it gets released. Don't overspend now if you can't find it from a legit online retailer. And it never hurts to go down to your local shop if you have one and see if they'll put in an order for you.

Hope everyone has a great time and gets what they want. I'm sitting out this year and will hopefully snag the Alice In Chains 7" online somewhere.

The song itself is decent but man, his vocals are shot and the mix isn't doing him any favors at all.

Wow, these arrived early out of nowhere and are now ready to ship! I have about 10 copies of each. These are must have's if you're a Skinny Puppy fan like myself.
    CYBERAKTIF. TENEBRAE VISION -
A beautiful double-LP vinyl reissue collecting the complete works of Cevin Key and Bill Leeb project Cyberaktif.
In 1990, Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly, as well as cEvin Key and Dwayne R. Goettel of Skinny Puppy joined forces to record one of the most iconic releases in the industrial genre: Cyberaktif! Artoffact Records presents a remastered 2LP vinyl edition of Tenebrae Vision, including both the Temper and Nothing Stays singles, and a rare bonus cut of Nothing Stays, edited by Beatbox Inc.
The double LP is housed in an amazing gatefold sleeve with artwork restored. The audio is fully remastered (sounds AMAZING) and let's not forget that two tracks feature Blixa Bargeld from Einstürzende Neubauten! An epic reissue for an epic masterpiece.
Clear / Red splatter vinyl version, limited to 100 copies.
    DOUBTING THOMAS. THE INFIDEL. -
Huge 3LP reissue of the complete works of Skinny Puppy side-project Doubting Thomas on SPECIAL EDITION BLACK/WHITE HALF-HALF vinyl!
Originally released on the seminal Wax Trax! label, the Doubting Thomas sessions were recorded in between sessions for VIVIsectVI and Rabies, by Cevin Key and Dwayne Goettel (Skinny Puppy) and also featured the talents of Tom Ellard (Severed Heads). This incredible triple-vinyl reissue is fully authorized by Cevin Key and includes the entire Infidel album remastered, plus the Father Don't Cry EP.
Doubting Thomas started as a collaboration between Key and Goettel, when tracks that didn't fit for Skinny Puppy were collected and stored for later use. By 1990, the two had enough material for an EP, and Wax Trax! released the now-classic and essential Father Don't Cry on 12" vinyl. Later in 1991, Wax Trax! released the full-length The Infidel, which to date has never been issued on vinyl. An anniversary edition on CD came out on Key's own Subsconscious imprint in the mid-2000s, but a vinyl version remained elusive, until now that is.
Toronto-based Artoffact Records is proud to announce a definitive triple-vinyl edition of The Infidel, complete with Father Don't Cry, and packaged in an out-of-this-world triple gatefold sleeve, with restored artwork and remastered audio.
    LIMITED EDITION OF 100 COPIES.

Yeah, they went quick. As someone already mentioned, I would just wait until the band comes back from Europe, they should have copies leftover.

Ulver has been pretty mellow the last few releases, and while I've liked them, they've been a bit 'boring'.  This is the album that I've been waiting for them to release.  Everything about it is great.

Have you guys heard this yet? I've been listening to it all morning and I'm very impressed. It's definitely the most accessible record they've done (not counting the covers album) and for the most part is electronic pop. It's a beautiful record all around, the vocals are great (including some female ones) and I love the atmosphere all the tracks create. This could be album of the year material for me.

You clearly don't spend enough money at your local record store, then. My guy won't specifically order RSD stuff just for me but if I've expressed serious interest in a RSD title and he only gets 1 or 2 of them, he will usually stash it behind the counter for me. I'm sure I'm not the only customer he does this for, because that's how you take care of your regulars — the people that keep the doors open the other 364 days a year.

This, although my (favorite) local shop makes 6 months rent on RSD so it doesn't really matter if you never go there for anything else. I'm there too much though. They know me by name, call me to tell me about PO delays, and let me pick up stuff a day or two early. Even if I didn't want any RSD releases, I would still show up for a free Upland brew and live music.

When I inquired with the label about getting copies I was told wholesale was very limited for this release. I'll only be getting 10, so I doubt very many will be available stateside.

Apparently this was a bonus CD on the Lucky Jim double CD release from Flow Records, which I've never heard. Nevertheless, I want this and I just wanted to start a Gun Club thread because they were so fucking amazing and underrated.

I'll make another post when they come in. Unless they get held up in customs, they should be in stock Monday or Tuesday. If I get dinged with customs fees they'll be $1 or so more.
