Hey Var, do you remember how many red/clear split versions of the HWM/Tomorrow 11" were pressed a few years ago? I have one of those and was wondering that the other day. The discography page doesn't list it.

I'd never listened to this band before, always wrote them off as your typical indie pop band or something, but that song that was posted is fantastic. I'm really impressed. Can anyone recommend which album I should listen to first to check TPC out?

My buddy's car, and nope.

My buddy and I got a flat tire on the way to the show tonight and didn't make it. After weeks of looking forward to the show we ended up not even making it! We just sat in the car and listened to the album while waiting for the tow truck. So depressing now that I think about it haha. Oh well.

They were two separate concerts. Paul on Monday and JT on Tuesday (I didn't go to that one). It was technically put on by Jimmy Kimmel and streamed on Myspace. I took my dad. Paul's my dad's favorite musician and he had never seen him live, so that was probably the best part.

I saw him last night on Hollywood Blvd and it was an experience! He played a few new songs and they weren't bad. It's hard to compare anything new with the classic stuff because of the mountain of nostalgia that comes along with it. His heart is still clearly in it and I'm glad he's continuing to write and perform. I'll be picking it up.

I can't for the life of me remember which one it was, but I recall reading an interview with Justin where he said about 500 were pressed. I'm not sure if that helps much, but I don't care enough to go read through a bunch of interviews again to find it. Just wanted to chime in that I don't think the claim of 500 is totally baseless.

I've found that the first record I hear from a band tends to be my favorite. Holds true for me with just about any band. Even if I think one album may actually be a "better" album for whatever reason (songwriting, band evolution, production, etc.), I most enjoy the one I heard first. Not trying to say AWLWLB is better than ATF or anything, but I'm not surprised that your favorite Converge record is the one you've heard first, especially given how consistently great their records are.

I am SO BUMMED I missed out on tix to the LA record release show. Fingers crossed more are released or are available at the door. If not... ugh.
