Nah, he just has lots of money. I bet he has more than one discography like this. I fucking adore this band but I wouldn't spend that kind of cash on any artist... I have one or two variants of all their releases and that's excessive in my own opinion, even though I quantify them as my favorite "new" band without any shadow of a doubt. He's just swinging his dick around trying to impress people.

That and half and half vinyl usually has fucked up sound floor levels between colors... those two things made me lose interest in it completely. love my green copy

yeah this is lame for peeps who skipped or missed the silver. basically $40 shipped for a single lp with barebones packaging. The gold looks only slightly better and thats a huge price difference

Yeah, I was wondering if there were extras beyond the stated stuff. It's nice that they seem to do it well, as screen prints can be a toss up depending on the label. I've gotten some ruined ones before right from the box. I'd have bought this either way, but it's cool that a label with such a good rep is handling it.

Christ here I am referring to The Clarity. I'm running on like 2 hours of sleep. Well I got my green Sciences easily too, save for the hour long trek to the record store. I really don't get how ten thousand copies of something are so scarce. Sucks for people without a good shop nearby.

The only one I can think of is my light blue copy of no wings to speak of my hopesfall. Ring wear, creased corners, the whole nine. media played fine though, so $30 was a Fucking steal and a half

I wouldn't hesitate, they're a big ass label so facilitating something like that shouldn't be difficult at all. I wouldn't care about the off center label but if there's significant distortion then yeah I'd reach out to them.

My yellow loser copy is flawless. Nice packaging and the record is on the lower end volume wise but plays without surface noise or pops even in the quieter moments on a high volume. I have no issues with distortion or muddiness and can easily get it loud enough to compensate for the low default volume. This album may surpass Teen Dream for me quality wise, but only time will tell that.

So what is the chance victory fucked up and listed the colors swapped? Green with smoke makes no sense for broken and yellow with white smoke makes no sense for waterfront but if you flip that they’re both pretty apt imo. idk, as it is imma pass. They just ugly.

If other peeps get their copies he cant be a greedy piece of shit and flip 'em, so that stands to reason that he wants them kept secret.

I saw them open for vampire weekend circa 2010 and that was my first exposure to them. Fell in love then and there. The first two albums are good but I prefer TD and Bloom because they expanded on their sound in meaningful ways. DC and Stars were more stagnant than bad, and this one is a nice departure that expands on their sound in a meaningful way again. i have no desire for them to strip back the layers they’ve added over the years... sounds like regression to me. To insinuate they haven’t always layered gauzy textures over everything in the studio and that they became overblown and overproduced on Bloom doesn’t make much sense to me either
