Oh man, absolutely. They're fucking stellar live, and I'll never stop catching them so long as they tour. Interested to hear the vocals in Breathe as well. Maybe this will be the breath of fresh air I'm looking for from them.

I had the same problem with explosions in the sky until the wilderness came out, and it seems like they were aware of it themselves given that they took 5 years to record and release it after their last boring ass retread of the same sound they’d been doing for a decade. I have a problem with homogeneous music that is just repeating and retreading old ground, and if Mono’s output since Hymn doesnt exemplify that sentiment to a T, idk what does. Mogwai has been boring as shit for a decade too, same ass problem. Sigur ros’s comeback album valtari was the same deal until they released Kveikur. I’m not bitching for the fun of it, I’m discussing music on a message board about music. Sorry I dont contribute to your echo chamber in an approved manner.

Just here to co-sign on on this album. God damn it's impressive and I'm only a few tracks in. So much shoegaze sounds homogenous and generic these days to the point where i'd rather just go back in time and listen to mbv or hum or something, but this is an exciting sound.

Just got back and can confirm these new songs fucking kill it live. I’d have taken a pic of the merch but my phone camera is busted. No tour variant of the new album.

Now my question is whether that big green box is THE box for this entire album cycle... like is there room in there for part two and all I’d need to do come 2020 is order the same variant and throw it in there? Or is there gonna be another $200 box imma need to ship to the states? Cause that’s a way easier pill to swallow if it’s the former.

Holy fuck that tri color merge does look terrible. I haven't gotten my CiC cause I ordered with the Death represses and one of em is delayed, but i'm glad I nabbed that one. Also glad I made a separate order for the deluxe.
