The whole debate seeped in from another thread, there’s nothing wrong with this shoegaze one and the way it’s been operating.  I have never once complained about a new PO topic or posted “we were already discussing it in X thread, this one is unnecessary.”  Hell, I’ve been the one to create a new PO thread when I felt like there was enough interest and discussion to warrant it.  I don’t think we need to get silly with defining new thread criteria – is it a related project?  Has it been a set amount of time between releases?  Is it an EP or LP?  Are there at least 3+ people interested? – and I think there’s pros and cons to each approach.  I’m just goading the select few who are upset enough to vocally whine in multiple threads.

I prefer these threads because if everyone spoonfed the leeches things would be harder to find. Thanks for being lazy guys 👍🏻

Absolutely. Why press 5000 box sets that sold out almost instantly of a band with fans that have been waiting years for anything from this catalog to get repressed, when those vinyl presses could be shitting out 10 new variants of albums by The Used from nearly 20 years ago. I don’t know, doesn’t make any sense to me. 

I asked a while back when he was doing the Q&A’s if the Reel Time Studio sessions would be an archival release.  He said that would be one of them, so hopefully they’ll see the light of day at some point.
 
I’d love to have those pre-Gish tunes in an official release.

I think its fair to say the contract certainly can't have been as clear as Omar believes regarding the rights to the vinyl releases, must have been some grey area around it at the very least otherwise even the simplest lawyer could win that case no matter what Universal tried to say

No think its still sides D & E of that LP but for some reason the song tiles released by the distributor to stores for listings has called side E Tarantism. Basically its just exactly the same as the 2lp + single sided lp version https://www.discogs.com/The-Mars-Volta-Frances-The-Mute/release/447805
 
Should really have advertised the set as 14xLP, 3 x single sided LP, 1 double sided 7"
