  1. "The Medicine" such a great record! I can't believe no one ever pressed this.
  2. I agree with a lot of what you're saying here but the bottom line is that if you want the most limited version of the vinyl, you're going to either have to also pay for some stuff you don't want or just buy another version of the LP for a lot less money. With labels having a difficult time making money it seems like this incentive-based program is a good idea and the consumer isn't really getting screwed because they can still buy the vinyl... just maybe not on the most limited color available. The Bright Eyes LP is available in the exact same packaging on amazon for like $21 bucks and it's one of their top sellers, so clearly plenty of people could care less about the other stuff. This might not apply in the case of Coheed, though. I don't know much about that release cause I'm not a fan.
  3. Did anyone else donate to fund the new Bazan album? I can't wait to get the vinyl!
  4. I get what Adam is saying, I guess I was just surprised that it took so long for the mere fact that No Idea went through so many variants of their previous releases—also coloring my judgment is the fact that while "White Crosses" isn't my favorite AM! album, I think it has some solid songs on it... although I know that's not a popular opinion here.
  5. Same here, man. I wonder how fast the colored vinyl will sell out since it seems like it took No Idea months to unload 500 copies of White Crosses on white vinyl.
  6. I don't think it's a cash grab at all. People have loved this demos since they leaked before that album came out so I think it's awesome that they are finally readily available... and also available on vinyl. I love how people will try to find fault with this band whatever they do. For the record, I think this is going to be way better than the Original Cowboy.
  7. Got mine today too. Splatter is barely there but package is still awesome.
  8. I think it's awesome that Overdue is a non-profit label, nothing better than buying vinyl AND feeling like you're doing something nice for other people!
  9. There is a media mail option. It's like three bucks. Did it not show up for you?
  10. The part that doesn't make sense to me is why Daytrotter would want to team up with an unknown, brand new label called Smelly Beard to release their first vinyl release that they would sell in their store. Daytrotter is a pretty well-known company so I'd assume they would just do it themselves or team up with a more proven label. Also I think it's pretty unprofessional for the guy from Smelly Beard to come on here and complain about how long it's taken Daytrotter to respond to his emails and try to shift the responsibility onto them. Something just doesn't seem right to me here.
  11. Got mine today, pink/red mix. Looks awesome. I see four colors on the No Idea site but am curious about the exact pressing numbers for each of them.
  12. I agree it does look awesome but I guess the whole point of ponying up for the Want It All package is to get the colored vinyl... I actually emailed Saddle Creek to see if they would have any extras and they said they wouldn't unless the packages didn't sell out. Glad I bought one!
  13. Who cares about the vinyl? I bought this package for the T-shirt, let's see that!
  14. Just heard an interview with Damian on a podcast he called into this week where he said the comp was moving along so I think it's definitely possible, especially because the band has been so involved with RSD in the past.
  15. Can I preemptively ask how many copies were pressed of Michael Jackon's "Thriller"?
  16. Over two grand for a Dead Weather 7-inch! http://cgi.ebay.com/Dead-Weather-Opening.... t_24649wt_1141
  17. That's what I figured. I think I'm going to wait til Needle Doctor has their next sale to pick one up. Thanks!
  18. This record sounds so much better on a test press than it does a regular LP.
  19. Has anyone had experience with the Pro-Ject MK II speed box? I was thinking of pairing one with my music hall 2.2 table and Cambridge Audio 640P pre-amp but was wondering if anyone had any experiences with how it affected the overall sound? (I'd be getting in mainly to switch between 33 and 45 rpm because, yes, I am in fact that lazy.)
  20. Why would it cost a fortune? All the 7-inches I bought last record store day were five or six bucks.
  21. Dude, if you like the music get it—if you're looking for an "investment" I'd go with mutual funds over obscure releases by Holy Terror bands.
  22. I think it's gotta be way more, I'm guessing closer to 1,000.
