  1. does anyone know if Native is still a band, or is bobby markos focusing on this band full time now?
  2. i bought a white copy locally for like $15. i'm glad i didn't shell out $22 or whatever for the red UO variant because its a very flimsy pressing all around. i'll have to spin my copy again, but i don't recall it sounding too bad. definitely not among the best sounding records i own, though.
  3. i've only really been a fan of Bright Lights, but this album kicks ass. i want the UO variant but i don't think i want to wait another month to get it (website says its a PO for 10/2)
  4. i'd rather wait for a repress or not have own it at all than purchase a flipped copy so soon.
  5. i'm glad my retail copy isn't that nasty orange color that most people have been posting so far. mine is more faint pink/cream colored.
  6. i finally got around to listening to this whole thing and i immediately regret not ordering it when i had the chance. i doubt anyone ordered an extra or doesn't want theirs anymore, but if somebody could help me out with this release i would really appreciate it. if not, i have my fingers crossed for a repress.
  7. i need some new recommendations. i'm really into grouper, lawrence english, deru, evan caminiti, and tim hecker.
  8. That one is eventually being pressed by Handmade Birds (or so they've been saying for nearly four years now). its definitely their most accessible and lush sounding release. i slightly prefer their second album, In The Russet Gold of This Vain Hour, which is a bit more melancholy and was produced by Simon Raymonde of Cocteau Twins.
  9. the most underrated shoegaze band is The Autumns. seek out their first two albums.
  10. i'm seeing them play the whole album in chicago next week. i'll report back
  11. i'm pretty sure i bought my white/black marble variant of this at hot topic for $14.99 when they were first pressed. so, the pricing on this is far from being brilliant.
  12. weren't the black copies $18 when these represses first went up? they're $23 now. dumb.
  13. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1074897687/graveface-archival-series pipe dreams redux is up
  14. i wasn't really into her last record, but the Raum LP was amazing. looking forward to this. i wish kranky would release a discography box set or something
  15. good luck with this one. i've never seen it sell for a reasonable price over the years and it would rarely appear anywhere
  16. the "shipping out on or around 01 December 2014" is kind of a turn off
  17. cathy from sargent house said she isn't expecting to get any copies of this for their US store
  18. i sold my white/black marble triple crown press about a year ago, leaving me without a copy. hopefully those black /3000 make it out to local record stores so i can own this again. i'm not tempted enough to order it online
  19. i have a gold stamp promo of The Cure's Disintegration. i paid $40 for it. i'm not sure which pressing it is, i know its not one of the 2xLP reissues.
  20. i used to be really into this band when Twins came out. i didn't like the first full length at all and i'm curious to see if the new lineup will help or hurt them. the new song sounds pretty good, but i might have to see them when they play here in a few weeks and decide whether or not i'll buy this.
