Man I seem to remember the last time MC was released (like 4 or 5 years ago) it sounded terrible, full of surface noise. Anyone else feel underwhelmed by it?
I gave my copy (on black via their Merch Table - see link in above comment) simple wet clean and it sounded great!

Damn, I literally just bought a used Red Sea LP two days ago. Already have Mosquito Control so I’m good on this one. If it’s the same plates as the last pressings, those MQ remasters sound massive!

Man this album really is spectacular. Might be AOTY for me.
It really bridges that gap between Souvlaki and Pygmalion.
Agreed, it's so incredible! Wish they were playing more from it on this tour.

Didn't want to start an entirely new thread but apparently "Government Commissions :BBC Sessions 1996-2003" is getting repressed

My bet is Mosquito Control

Nice, Jyocho should be going the same time. I can’t wait for both of these. Ow let’s get the back catalogs pressed!
Clever Eagle (US) had copies of “To See The Next Part Of The Dream” earlier in the year. I still need to spin my copy.
I’d LOVE to see “Let's Walk On The Path Of A Blue Cat” on vinyl!

That's sick! I didn't see that at the Boston date
How were they this tour? Are they still touring as a 3 piece? I was a little underwhelmed the last time they played with The Get Up Kids at Brighton Music Hall. When they played Sinclair as a 4-piece it was significantly better

Gasp is awesome! Never been a huge FoH fan but I’m liking both sides of the split, so I’ll probably snag once my store gets copies in. If you want more Gasp material, the split 7”with Volume 11 and Drome Triler Of Puzzle Zoo People are probably my favorite releases by them

I would have gone for that but the Lync exclusive version a bit better looking. All three variants are ugly as sin and I’m not sure what they were thinking when picking them.
Crazy that we haven’t seen people from the Numero threads pop in here. This album is right down their alley and fits well with all the 90s Numero releases. But even better than a lot of those albums imo.
Agreed! Lync are so good and I think a lot of people overlook them. I haven’t seen the indie exclusive but the SS and band copies look so gross. (I just want a copy on black 😂)

for those wondering; it was a few bucks cheaper from the label

Clever Eagle (US) has copies of Yuragi’s “Nightlife” EP

Monday via Suicide Squeeze. Was not expecting this at all but I’m so happy their material will be back in print.

They’ve always reminded me of a slightly more punk early Modest Mouse

They closed with a new song called “The Fight” in Portland last night. Rest of the set was The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place in full, “The Birth and the Death of Day” and “Yasmin The Light”. Great show overall, it was an outdoor show on a beautiful summer night and the crowd was very chill.
Christ, that setlist is so good

Finding out that Jon Chang is a Ben Shapiro stan as well as a supporter of Kyle Rittenhouse makes me happy that I didn't spend an absurd amount of money on that new Gridlink LP. *sigh*

This is the reason I've strayed away from buying anything they've released since Another Language. So many people have said the quality has been poopy on the last few records. I only own Young Mountain, Another Language, and an older pressing (the one with the cougars on it) of the s/t. I'll have to re-spin and report back.

Copped. Wonder if they’ll be any Delaware reissuing in the future.
I think they said they were planning to at some point this year. Can’t wait to listen to the new music tonight when it drops.

Make sure to follow us and the band.
Announcements coming soon on this and other incredible records. You'll be stoked.

Holy Christ! I might be one of the few people on this board who loves Shotmaker more than most things but this is awesome news!
Is it a discography? I heard they lost the masters to a bunch of their material and had to do analog rips for the discography double CD that Troubleman did. I own most of their stuff (I think I’m just missing two of the 7”s and a tape split?) but I’ll definitely double dip if there’s anything “new” coming out with their name attached.
for anyone else unfamiliar, they were a sick post-hardcore band from the 90’s and had some of the gnarliest bass stuff going on!

Guess I’m smoking a bowl and throwing this on tonight to refamiliarize myself haha

I would try contacting Bis Aufs Messer in Berlin. They tend to have their ear to the ground for stuff like this.

Having not listened to them since Take Care (and not really being a fan of that album) I’m really digging the new single

Got my copy of Native Nod in last week and it rules. Definitely grab a copy. The blue came out really cool.
I had all three of their 7”s once upon a time. Now I’m just missing “New Compositions And Arrangements For The Zither“ Regardless, I’m stoked it’s all collected onto one LP. Shame the demo wasn’t included but I’m sure the band wasn’t into it. Seriously everything Chris Leo has done wins my heart.
@andables, Numero hasn’t touched any Van Pelt material but I feel like that’s a band you’d really like. The first two records are phenomenal. I think Ernest Jennings just repressed them not too long ago. The singer / guitarist of that band sang in Native Nod fwiw.
