  1. Bump #3 - Final Bump for the first batch. I'd say Bid Hard or something but that always annoys me. I'm putting up some more auctions and added the Following last night: Ben Nichols "Last Pale Light" on Gold /299 Screeching Weasel "Television City Dreams" Yellow /298 City & Colour / Tegan & Sarahsplit 7" OZ Seasons 1 & 2 dvds If something doesn't have a bid I will take offers and cancel the auction.
  2. I'm shopping for a late 60's Mustang or Fairlane. Or an early 60's T-Bird. I'm just starting and am in no rush, I'm about a year away from buying. I also love the Dart's and Falcon Futura's since they are very affordable by comparison. I have no real dream car since I've been obsessed with all things Shelby since I was 12 and know I will never even sit in one with how expensive they are.
  3. Why is this so damn interesting? Must appeal to the collector in me. Tell me I'm not the only person who likes watching these auto auctions.
  4. Got my copy on Yellow yesterday. Pretty awesome. I've become way too comfortable with getting download codes with my vinyl and was bummed after spinning this and realizing it didn't come with one. Nice release. Looking forward to whatever TJ have coming next.
  5. I've heard of it now that you mention it - I haven't been back for a visit to G'Ville in four years or so. Thanks for the info.
  6. That jukebox is in Boca Fiesta now! I have no idea what Boca Fiesta is but I'm stoked it has a good home.
  7. A little post-rock buying spree: Giants "They, The Undeserving" Red Sparowes "every red heart 2xLP (yellow w/brown smoke) /100 Beware of Safety "Dogs" /300 SPARROWS SWARM AND SING - untitled part 2 LP (blue vinyl) /100 Funeral Diner "Swept Under" 10" Portugal the Man "Satanic..." on Orange Lemuria/Cheap Girls split 7" Captain We're Sinking (1st 7") Chamberlain (Doghouse series 7" (other stuff - I'm obviously buying too much if I'm forgetting)
  8. I'm not in any of them Var but you are right that everyone is so damn young. That egg yolk yellow vinyl though - I forgot how awesome that looks. btw - someone should put all the Anklebiter stuff up digitally. Love that Triceratops. Need more appreciation for them.
  9. I have to go back and look Var. I am on the back of the Panthro 7" - I remember that. I know Dave's awesome haircut is in the insert. I hope the kids that flew from Germany that day are in there, they were cool. My greatest memory of the Hardback though is helping get the old Jukebox out of there and stashing it in your garage while riot cops lined up by the Theater at the end of the final show. I'll pull the booklet out tonight and take a look.
  10. One of the best nights of my life was at this show. Great record too.
  11. The new pressing is dark grey. If yours is also dark grey, you are boned. Sorry! Ha Ha Ha. Well put sir.
  12. If anyone else really wants this record take the advice above, grab Alex's email from the thread about Eyeball send him a message. He got right back to me, couldn't be nicer and offered for me to pick mine up in person. The Eyeball situation with the website sucks but this record is still available and he'll set you up.
  13. Everyone just got it, might bee to soon to trade it. I only gave it a first spin today. I'll hit you in a week or so after I decide if I have to hold on to it.
  14. If I give you the answers it will ruin all the fun. Just clear your mind and do nothing but think about it for a few days. Get back to me. Ha ha ha.
  15. Curious about the pressing on the Vagrant version - anyone hear anything?
  16. I agree - With that response I would have voted negative so that no one would miss that this guy doesn't think records should be packaged in an appropriate box unless by special request. Jackass.
  17. I don't see it on here but I would like a copy of the Glow in the Dark Vinyl if anyone out there has one.
  18. I thought the Composite Vol 1 was awesome. I am pretty excited for this.
  19. I just got a neutral for a record that took four weeks to arrive. I shipped the day after payment but the snow in the northeast threw some flux into the mail. I offered a refund etc. I think it was fair of the buyer. I couldn't help it but I would have been pissed if he went with negative for something out of my control. With that package I am not a big fan of the duct tape method. He should have used a record sleeve. I'd hit him with a neutral - no doubt he will improve his technique.
  20. That wasn't as well hidden as expected.
  21. Some records they let you order two on colored, more often they just refund you the price of one of them.
  22. I promise not to bump this auction more than 3 times. Hell, that might be excessive anyway. Clarification: I plan to sell off a bunch of stuff and won't bump any round of my auctions more than three times. That is unless folks would prefer me to make a new thread a week but I personally prefer recycling threads.
  23. I balance a job, freelance work, a small LLC, a joint filing with my wife, a home and a baby. The only time my taxes have ever been screwed up was by a CPA. I have a moderate tax liability to the IRS from 2008 with a fat 20% penalty. I owe the money and would pay it off but I am fighting the penalty since it is highly punative for a paperwork error that I am more than willing to correct. My point - no matter who you have touch your taxes always have the work double checked on some level. Sounds like you have a pretty simple filing though so if is just a 1040 or 1040ez then you are totally safe in using the free Turbo Tax.
  24. I listened to this album finally this past weekend. I kept expecting it to kick into high-gear but it never does. It's alright, not awful, but it is going to be forgettable. I'll stick to Social D live for the future.
