The Paypal part doesn't surprise me, they never seem to have any logic. I sold a TV once on ebay and the buyer disputed the transaction saying item not as described and uploaded a tracking number to Paypal as proof he returned the item. But instead he sent a flat envelope with tracking info to me, and inside it was a piece of notebook paper with a handwritten "lol". I took photos of everything, and supplied documentation to Paypal stating there's no way a < 1lb package could be the TV I sent, and provided tracking information for the package I originally sent detailing the dimensions and evidence the weight was over 50lbs. Not to mention that at the time, USPS wouldn't ship anything over that weight and that size. It was physically impossible for him to return the same package I sent to him just solely comparing tracking information.

That evidence along with pictures of his envelope and letter were all supplied to Paypal, and even explained on the phone to a representative, and I still lost the case. Never sold anything on ebay since.

This commercial strikes me as being less about advocating for a separation of Church and State as opposed to pushing an Atheist Agenda. It's an odd statement he opens with. Personally I am a Christian, I've been very open about it, but I am 100% for a secular state that keeps religion and governance separate. The tone of this piece is no better than those bullshit Church of Latter Day Saints commercials that used to litter TV when I was a kid. Keep your religious belief system, or lack thereof of one, off of my tv.

To a different point - no one litters my social media feeds more with in your face statements on religion than my atheist friends. I love em but there is a tone-deafness to the idea that ranting about a non-belief is just as bad and annoying as ranting about a belief. If you are on here and generally in my life then you are unlikely to be a radical evangelical - all that is happening is you alienate or piss off people you love.

I've lived a good and rich life, I have a lot of friends with radically different views of this world, it makes it all interesting.

The afterparty was great - of course those nights at the Lanes are like old-dude reunions for me at this point. Always cool to be bragging about pictures of our kids with the same dudes I stood back to back with for so long.

Ok, Game Changer World and the show today:
    1. That venue has THE WORST sound I've ever experienced. This coming from a guy who came of age at basement shows. Unbelievable how awful it was. I feel they fill a void for all-ages venues in that area but they are totally taking advantage of kids that have no other place to get the youth-oriented touring bands. They are totally cheating people with the complete shit quality of the sound.

    2. The bands destroyed it however. The smaller stage was a blast. Ensign brought it hard but the Undertow set stole the night - I was pretty sure when it was over that the world was ended. I was happy to still find sunshine when I went outside and that time continued long enough for the Endeavor reunion. Holy shit they killed it - 17 years and still had it all. They obviously shook the space time continuum because I was shot back to 1993/94 and Sick of It All kicked it right off with Clobberin Time!
Seriously, there wasn't a bad set played and everyone had their heart in it both on stage and for the right reasons. I came of age a hard core kid who found a place in a community that helped me makes sense of who I was and wanted to be. Seeing all these old-timers come together to raise much needed funds for a friend gave me chills a few times over. Simply awesome. All the organizers should feel great because they not only pulled of a monumental two days but set an example for how it should always be done.

I've been listening to this quite a bit to really absorb it. As someone who listened to plenty of shoegaze and dream pop in their 90's heyday and the new crop of newgaze bands today, I can say that Hyperview is not really any of that. It sounds heavily-influenced by the styles but veers more towards that melodic indie sound like Hum. To me, it sounds like Titlte Fight trying to jump on the newgaze bandwagon that a lot of former hardcore/punk bands have been doing as of late. Some, if not most, are not pulling it off very well. TF get an A for effort though.

With that all being said, I still enjoy the record very much and really surprised me at how good it is for what they're going for on it.

My concern lies with the present state of Juan's dick! How quickly we forgot about it.
And Since now we want to talk about music, Pink Floyd is overindulgent frat rock that rates a half notch above Brand New on the intolerable scale. But that's my opinion.

I saw that 5k time on endomondo, good job man!

As for me it's come down to training and weather haha.  I've been training for a half marathon, and it's this Saturday.  I feel good after my long runs, but I'm ready to be down with long distance for a while.  After this weekend I'll probably go back to just 5k's and 10k's until at least the fall.

That and I've started running to the beach in the morning to catch the sunrise.  It's become an addiction haha.  I usually just go 2-3 miles but I've caught some amazing sunrises out here.  This was from this morning:

Just got all my 2015 runs into Endomondo. I'm glad to see how off I've been but that I'm ramping up again. Been a long road and can't wait to be 100% again at some point.

Nice! We've got a pretty tight race coming down to the wire this month haha
I ran a 5k Saturday. Was still sick but felt good. PRd at 22:15, cutting 45 seconds off my previous best time. I don't think I've ever raced a 5k before, just ran that distance on my own, racing myself haha
But dude, Ed! What're you up to man?!haha some crazy distance runs of late. Training? Or just enjoying the Florida weather?

To recap: These sold out in a day. The vinyl board most oriented to this sort of schlock has a majority claiming they wouldn't buy this from Shady Ross. There are a lot of people on this board lying.

FYI: I have an OG press of the Dukes of Hazard theme song 45 and Charlie Brown's Christmas 7"/Storybook. The bidding begins at $50 each since people around here will buy anything.
