  1. Love this band, can't wait to see them again. New song sounds good. It'll be interesting to see how Steve is differentiating Mutoid Man from Cave In musically on this album and going forward. I thought one or two songs on Heavy Pendulum wouldn't have been out of place on a Mutoid Man album either.

  2. Somewhat off-subject, but while we're complaining about Discogs ... I'm sure many of you have noticed an uptick in scammers on the platform in recent months. Looks like tonight the madness has reached new heights. Over the last hour or so, two scammer accounts have created more than 900k fake listings and counting, i.e. these two accounts have more than 1.2% of all active Discogs listings between them. And yes, they are very obviously scammers to any frequent user on the site, but I guess the idea is to rely on volume to generate as many payments from newbie buyers as possible between now and whenever Discogs gets around to taking them down, which in some recent cases has been a painfully slow process. What a mess.

Drowningman - “Busy Signal at the Suicide Hotline” (+ 2 songs from Dillinger Escape Plan split) is up

Any idea how many of each there are? The Patient Zero/ Smartpunk variant is out of /100 apparently.

By the way, the latest Hydra Head pressing is still available from the label for $15 in black or clear.

  4. This one has been available for a minute, but I don't think it's been mentioned here. Purusam's Daybreak Chronicles finally got a vinyl release courtesy of Svensk Hardcore Kultur. In the wake of bands like Refused pushing the boundaries of what hardcore could be, Purusam put their very own unique spin on metallic hardcore by infusing it with some other elements while undeniably sticking to their hardcore roots. I was fortunate to catch a pair of their shows with As Friends Rust in Germany in the late 90s and I've kept coming back to the Daybreak Chronicles ever since. Highly recommended!

Thanks! I'll bite. I tried to buy Issue 3 of Creem Magazine the other day because it has a Botch feature. That issue alone was going to cost $49 including tax and $11 for media mail shipping. 8 issues of New Noise with the flexi for $44 seems like a steal in comparison.

EDIT: New issue also available without sub for $6. Even better!
