Sooo...yesterday was pretty amazing for me. I got to see Clint Mansell perform live as part of Melbourne Festival. Prior to the show they had a 'Conversation with Clint' -  a kind of interview/Q&A type thing in one of the halls. Was really interesting to hear him speak about his early days, influences, relationship with Darren Aronofsky/Trent Reznor, how he approaches writing etc. He definitely is not part of the Hollywood machine - quite the character!
 
I got to meet him afterwards and got him to sign my Moon record..so stoked! AND I used the opportunity to ask him about The Fountain pressing (how could I not!). He said straight up that Mondo are doing it next year and they are doing Noah as well. Then mentioned how Black Swan is being released now etc. So there it is...we WILL get The Fountain.
 
The show was absolutely amazing. Played all the highlights from Pi, Requiem, Noah, The Wrestler, Moon, & The Fountain. Blew my mind! Can't wait to hear High Rise...heard good things!

Got my boxset today in Aus. Pretty quick! Arrived perfectly, as other have said, this thing was packed immaculately. Everything is absolutely top notch and all my records look like they are in perfect condition. Definitely money well spent. So good to finally have these records!

Nice one! I started with a RP1 and added mods as I went. You can really go crazy but when you are ready the first thing I would look at are the white upgrade belt and better cartridge. The Ortofon 2m Blue match nicely. Happy listening!

It took me 45mins after getting it in my cart within the few minutes to finally be able to check out. Luckily I didn't see the Paypal option and put my cc details in. It hung saying 'processing' for a few minutes and I gave up and clicked paypal and then I was back to square one. Turns out the cc payment went through!
My mate said it took him 5 mins and he was done. It was seriously luck of the draw.

Yes they did. I ordered it and got a second blue copy because of them. I complained and they changed the description.

Just a heads up too, AOTY appears to be from a completely new master. Mouth To Mouth has an altered intro and the whole thing seems ultra clear - but there is a lot of surface noise, which personally I can live with as it's a hard rock album and the quiet portions of the album are not so common. I have not given it a detailed listen, but listened to it twice and liked it.

I will do my best to get a picture, but if they aren't limiting the amount of prints you can buy I will make sure and grab an extra Sunday. I plan on taking way more than I do to normal shows. Hoping they have a slipmat around and those koozies are dope, they always have the best merch. Always...

This band is incredible. Watched their Audiotree Live session last night - so tight and huge sounding. Kicking myself for missing them on Soundwave earlier this year, but didn't even know of them then.

Awesome! Pretty epic to do all those songs. Casey sings great and in some cases better than on the album. All the instruments were pretty tight too. Overall sound quality is pretty darn good. Just wish it was on bluray!
Definitely a DVD I'll be playing quite often.

They said that they have vocals for 1 track left to do and then it has to be mixed/mastered etc so probably another 3-4 months away from release. I asked how the new album sounded and they said it's HEAVY but has a lot of ambient moments and this album has a lot more production.
