Wait is this real? Cause thats The Fall of Troy - Manipulator cover. I fucking want this album soooo bad. The cheapest I could ever find the OP was for $100+... I REALLLY hope ETR isn't repressing this. Cause I'll cave and buy it.

How's everyone doing. Just joined. I found out about the forum from my uncle actually. I did a quick search for a colored vinyl thread and I didn't happen to find one. I apologize if there is one that does exist. I thought it would be cool to start a specific thread for everyone's glorious colored, marbled, splattered and starburst records. I'll start it off with this Knuckle Puck 7in I got in the mail last week. Feel free to join in. I would love to see everyone's colored records

Completist here. Sorry you all hate me. It is a compulsion, not a choice. If I could change I would.

I don't need to read through 53 pages of butthurt and circle jerk just to learn what I already know from not reading it.

I'm pretty ignorant on whatever happened, and am not going to read through 53 pages of butthurt and circlejerk. I have no problems buying a copy of Doppelganger from him or Equal Vision (if they do a release like last time).

I am helping my wife with the school play this year and I heard her students talking about Fall Out Boy and I was like I loved fall out boy when I was in high school...they all looked at me confused because they didn't know that there were albums before Save Rock and Roll...

It made me feel old...and sad

You are not, as you suggest, "staying in the grey". The fact is, you have an easy time complaining about "the community" when, in fact, the community is made up of hundreds of individuals. Of course, some of those people are going to be annoying or not have much to contribute. But a lot of us do have something to contribute. For years, this guy has gotten away with pulling shit with this community. I (and many others who have confided in me) just don't think he deserves to slide. If this community can't talk about that without being told to "let it go", then it's a shitty community. Plain and simple.

By complaining about the imperfect community you are "moderating", you are effectively defending Ross's actions. You can deny that until the end of the world, but make no mistake, you are helping his mission.

As far as our "end game"... I don't think that's the point. A lot of folks feel burned by Ross. They're going to do what they want to do to feel better. If that means tweeting at him or commenting on his facebook or writing an article in the newspaper, then that's their decision. This board doesn't need to feel responsible. If people want to let other folks know about his shitty business practices and his lawyer buddy, then that's their choice. Some people want to see him go out of business. I think he deserves nothing less. That's not my goal though. My goal is to inform otherwise uninformed people where their money is going so they can make their own decisions.

It's been a while since I posted in this thread, but I just want to remind everyone why Ross doesn't need any defense. He already had his lawyer, "molder" doing his dirty work. he claimed to be the owner of ross's ebay account, claim to have no job (and really need the money!), and this gem:

Why are we defending these assholes, Rambo?

Do you really believe random people who have no connection to this at all are finding this thread in the depths of the internet and taking people's sentences out of context to harass Ross's instagram? That is more insane than Ross's posts in this thread.

I honestly can't tell if you're trying to play devil's advocate and defend who you (presumably) see as an underdog in order to keep the boards neutral. You should probably note that there have been uncountable numbers of people who have blindly defended Ross over the years. Many of them admitting in this thread they wish they hadn't. Yet, there are still a few that have come to his aid, usually embarrassingly trying to change the subject. Regardless, the dude has lawyer(s) willing to lie for him. He doesn't need you.

Rambo is sympathetic towards labels/label owners. If a label owner posts a customer's personal info out of spite, he'll edit it out of their post but then apologize to the label guy for having done so.

Mass as Shadows (Previously Unreleased)     “Of all the passionate, soul-baring young guitar bands slogged together under the emo heading, Thursday are the darkest and most powerful.” — Rolling Stone On December 7, 1999, the then-fledgling Eyeball Records released the debut album by New Jersey band called Thursday. Waiting, in itself, made modest waves during its initial release, but as the band prepared its follow-up—2001’s breakthrough Full Collapse—Thursday’s debut quickly became more of a herald than an introduction: This is the sound of a band in the middle of a discovery process that would eventually take them to legendary status around the world. Having officially gone out of print when Eyeball ceased operations, Waiting has been unavailable in physical, digital, and streaming formats since 2012. But this year, on the fifteenth anniversary of its release, Collect Records is finally giving this classic album the special deluxe edition reissue package it deserves. Waiting: The 15-Year Anniversary Edition features the original album remastered and repackaged with a die-cut sleeve, original liner notes, and a bonus 7” EP featuring previously unreleased demos from this period—including one neverbefore-released song.   • Fully remastered by Heba Kadry (The Mars Volta, Nothing, Future Islands, …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead) • Additional 7” and CD bonus tracks featuring previously unreleased demos and “Mass as Shadows”—a never-before-heard song. • Deluxe repackaging featuring the iconic Thursday dove logo on a die-cut jacket (on LP and CD versions), original liner notes, and complete lyrics • A music video for “Mass as Shadows” is scheduled to coincide with release

Just catched a Echo & The Bunnymen "Rust" Double-7", it's a white label, seemingly promo only (London Records LONDJ 424). I can't figure out the other three Songs, cause I won't spoil the vinyl by playing it and the Internet doesn't help either. I reckon by their lengths, it's "History chimes", "When it all blows over" and perhaps "What Are You going to do with your life".

Ordered a copy of Jimmy Eat World - Damage the other day with the cover signed by the entire band for $35. Thought it was a good deal. But it came today and turns out it's a test pressing. Never owned one before, but thought it was pretty great steal.
