I have long dreamed of winning the lottery, buying the entire Jason Martin catalog back from Universal, and reissuing everything. I once even made a spreadsheet to figure out the side breakdown for the B-sides & rarities 4xLP I would make.
 
Huh, now that I type that out, it almost seems kind of pathetic.

I think the relationship is a little more complicated than that.   My recent popmarket order came from the same address and the same packaging as the others you have mentioned.   There are other Amazon and Ebay dealers as well, like 'moviemars'. 
 
I believe there is a warehouse and a shipping facility there, whatever you want to call it.  I think that the various dealers are competitors of one another but share access  to a common inventory list that is published and updated in something approaching real time by the distributor.    
 
This business model dates back to the early days of Amazon and Ebay, when big DVD dealers (like Ebay's glacierbaydvd, the original big user of this model and now bankrupt and long gone, and moviemars) tried to become the biggest dealers on Ebay but didn't actually buy any inventory until they had a customer's order in hand.   Back then the inventory technology was not available in real time and there was a huge backlash from customers of both Ebay and Amazon against sellers who couldn't fulfill orders.    Nowadays I suspect the interface between dealer and wholesaler is much more robust and accurate.

But seriously.  There was a time when you'd be at a used CD store, see a CD you haven't thought about in 6-7 years, pick it up, reminisce for a few seconds, and then put it back in the bin.  Now, when you see those same albums, you buy them for $35, reminisce for a few seconds, and then put them back in the Kallax.

My collection of Music Matters releases so far.  I cannot recommend these enough.  I'd like to eventually pick up all the 33's that the've done, but I've just been cherry-picking my favorite titles for now.
 

I contacted the band and they are currently working into getting this release available at some US distro. Hope this works out before they sell out

Sorry, I worded my post badly. I'm not looking for Failure for myself. I'll be looking for it for people in this thread. Seems like a lot of people wanted it.

Saw SR first time ever last night with my daughter and a couple of close friends. Indescribable, the atmosphere.
 
Just one observation, whatever back trouble Orri had from Valtari days, he is definitely over -- that man beat the flippin' stink out of his kit all night long, even on the track Varud.  (  ) 8 build up was just insane, even our friends who were only tangentially familiar with them could not stop talking about the show, esp. (  ) 8.
 
I don't see how Orri didn't go through 3 sets of drum heads on his toms, and Jonsi really seemed to be into it as well. Georg, is well... Georg. Family guy. But even on (  ) 8, he had a little jam going there.

Also in search of DUTD, wasn't aware of this band until this thread and ..WOW! A hint of Pedro The Lion and touch of early Death Cab For Cutie but still quite an unique sound..

Banquet Records claims to have this but it wouldn't be the first time that they list something as available that they actually don't have.. It says 'pre-order' when added to cart, maybe they're going to repress this now that the new album is coming..?

Back when I was searching for a copy of DUTD a month and a half ago I e-mailed the label to see if they had any copies laying around and they said they didn't but they had a repress in the works.
