  1. Bummer on the miss. Worth it to keep trying though, still by far one of the best live hardcore bands.
  2. I don't use an external anymore for regular back-up use. Mozy back-ups several folders (music, photos, videos, crucial docs) twice a day. About 400gbs. It takes several days for initial upload to occur but after that, it's smooth sailing and you'll never notice it running. Never even had Mozy's software crash. They will also email you when they are having technical issues if they determine that you will miss a scheduled scan. I have a portable drive that I use when necessary but otherwise I've given up on using externals as I have had several failures over the years (hardware and software alike). The last one lost over 150gbs of music and videos. Not fun.
  3. Been using Mozy since April. Software is lightweight during backup, barely uses any resources. Haven't had to (thankfully) use any retrieval services but so far so good. Lotsa reasons to use online storage over personal large storage drives besides the one stated. A prior external backup drive got corrupted while transferring to a new machine despite everything showing the drivers to be compatible. Mozy is owned by EMC... their redundancy will beat your own personal redundancy every time.
  4. Saw it in November. It's a little cheeseball, but that's part of the fun I guess. Was a bit surreal to see Green Day songs made into theatrical pieces of work. Worth seeing for sure.
  5. Money lost or not, you put out some sweet stuff and I definitely still rock the Gray Ghost stuff you sent me for review when that came out. Thanks for the effort!
  6. Sort of the point, H2O isn't really at their peak anymore... not touring as much, records probably every 4-5 years at best, so now is a plenty good time for reissues, covers albums, etc. They've always been a band who could pull off great covers. Re: the Max 7"... I love the concept, just a Dad (and Mom) supporting their son. The kid will probably think it's the coolest thing in the world, and given all the musical talent he has grown up around so far, I bet it won't be half bad.
  7. My parents have a few Kinkade pieces in their home... all in very bright rooms no less...
  8. Looks like B9 has way, way too many Death Before Dishonor and Distance CDs on their hands, and those singles comps (the latter are seriously awesome releases, esp. volume 2).
  9. Got mine today: 1. Bridge Nine label t-shirt (in a size that I can wear, natch…) 2. HAVE HEART – Sound and Fury 2007 7″ (wheeee!) 3. Bridge Nine 2009 12″ Label Sampler compilation (wheeee?) 4. FAREWELL HOPE – One More Day into a Memory CD (Pre-RUINER band, released in 2002) 5. CEREMONY poster with digital download link to Bridge Nine 2010 digital sampler 6. Assorted stickers
  10. The neighborhood I currently live in is where the guys from Fairweather lived... that's about it.
  11. One of the few newish hardcore bands that I've heard in the past couple of years that legitimately sounds like they are giving everything into all of the songs. Can't wait to hear where go on a new LP.
  12. Nice box! That Palehorse CD is great. Still waiting for mine to arrive.
  13. Awesome stuff. Just posted an embed on Pastepunk. Good luck in getting something formal out!
  14. Miles Away deserves every bit of attention they can get, and every full-length gets better.
  15. Three hours of reasonable behavior? I felt pretty reasonable while watching it on TV. I don't know if I would have felt reasonable trying to get into the city that day though. I think half of my Office went to it and we're all federal attorneys. Bureaucrats like reasonableness.
  16. "Native American Museum right next to us for some awesoem pulled buffalo" It's a little known fact that most of the Smithsonian museums have really, really good restaurants in them. The NAM is extremely impressive, too bad none of my relatives show interest in visiting it when they come into town.
  17. Maybe 10 kids total. Better than last year. My two year old was in charge of giving out the candy.
  18. Traffic around the whole DC area was an absolute mess this morning. Just as classic an area thing as a rally on the mall.
  19. I go through ups and downs with music fairly often. Nothing iTunes DJ usually can't fix relatively quick.
