Cascade is the CD/Digital variant, and The Deluge is the deluxe 180 gram white vinyl LP companion. In Cascade, a single ancient lilting piano tape loop repeats endlessly carrying one along in its tessellating current. In The Deluge, the same loop is processed through a series of feedback loops of different lengths, creating a spiraling crescendo of overtones that eventually fades away to silence. In the denouement, a series of limpid piano loops leads to an urgent orchestral theme that builds and gradually dies. The Deluge is a limited edition, 180 gram white vinyl LP packaged in a heavyweight full-color cardboard jacket. All copies are white, there is no black vinyl variant.

My life is pretty darn good...but said screwed....then I get "fucked" a lot...so it happens often like more than 50% of the time. Of the last 4 records I've ordered 3 have been wrong color...so felt fucked was warranted...

Bull moose screwed me... My order slip says clear and so did the website when ordering ... Sent me black copy! I have the worst luck always get fucked like this, then its a headache to send shit back, wait forever to listen to the album...

Got this today! Wow and early ...Little underwhelming for a deluxe LP...should of been 180g at least....But sounds amazing and is such a good record

So I just got a call from one of my local stores and he said, " I just got final word that no stores should be getting this, and it will only being sold direct or by the label" This sounds like he was misinformed. He owns a record store but this is what he was told by his distributor ....odd...I am praying that they DIDNT just decided to say fuck it lets not give any to any stores...and then maybe they will just post another link on the 4AD site? IDK seems unlikely but it has me a bit concerned...granted I do have another store that seems like 90% confident they are getting a copy for me? UGH fucking 4AD IF YOU PRESSED 10,000 IT STILL WOULD OF SOLD OUT BUT THE MAJORITY OF TRUE FANS WOULD GET A COPY!

So I totally forgot I order this from Sound Stage...and Bullmoose and Caldo...FUCK! (LIVE AT BIKO that is) Ive got 2 so far...so if someone needs a copy I can mail it out right away...I think I paid $26-27 or so...so would be that plus like $3-3.50 shipping... PM ME! If you want it...I know it still out there but I have it in hand and I am happy to ship it right out...if not Its pretty easy to just ship it back to sound stage and get a refund...

DRDS89 we;ve talked a bunch my friend (over sigur ros) And I can say that my copy is a little noisy but nothing that distracts too much. It is a bit quite like most boots and it has a little flatness to it. But I can honestly say I am not unhappy with a $45 copy of this, plus all the B-sides and Demos. It is for sure worth it. I heard the OG copy is somewhat flat and can be noisy too! So that being said I don't think the extra $125 is worth it in this rare case... IF that at all helps. If your like me and its in your top 25 albums of all time, buy it without hesitation!

I second this...I have it ordered at 3 stores as well...I doubt Ill get 1 but if some weird way I get more than one I will do the same!

Yea I think the girl packing them screwed up a bunch...because she wants me to mail it back! Typically if they think its only a few they just let you keep it and just send the Correct Vinyl in a white sleeve... but if there are many they will have to try to recoup those black copies to re sell....(used) ....She was cool about it and nice but still they are asking someone to make a trip to the post and pay for the shipping upfront, which she says they will reimburse...(I know I sound like a grumpy old man) but shit, just do it right the first time! Def email them if you haven't

Yes I'd say the second half is more offthesky... And first few tracks are more pleq... Pleq often using a lot more beats and noise (but still has drone stuff out there) - offthesky from what I've heard seems to stay more toward moving drones and less noise... If that helps at all lol

They have the standard edition at shows- no deluxe wrap around! I got super lucky that someone from early in tour bought a colored Live in Ravenna LP and forgot it! So they sold it to me for $20! (signed) I didn't ask if the new LP was red or not- but Red copies were sold at stores and online

Pretty sure they did a reissue at some point - around when their debut got good press? Idk I own the original press that's all I know first hand
