  1. ah, well there ya go. does anyone remember that time virgil/VC did a mystery box sale when they were hurting for $$$ and someone received a roll of toilet paper?
  2. subscribed june 26, 2007 here. not sure where to see what # i was though.
  3. id put TFOG over anything theyve done since the self titled record. its also when the band had a fair amount of stability and actually... ya know, went on tour, so it was the one time i actually got to see them live (which may have something to do with it as well). TFIWKUH might be the heaviest record they ever wrote front-to-back but it just doesnt feel like it with the production.
  4. Musically i like the fear... but i dont like the production. if it sounded like this record or even the funeral of god, it would be massive. That said, really wish those ferret releases would end up on vinyl since they were never pressed.
  5. this show has more potential now than it ever has but the pacing is (still) completely horrible. we're two episodes away from the mid-season finale and we've only seen most major characters ONCE this season so far. i really wish they'd stop doing these singular episodes that focus on one or two specific characters just to save $$$ - i mean c'mon, its the highest rated show on cable. it totally kills all the suspension they work to build up and then when you bring characters back like heath for an episode it means i couldn't possibly care less about his whereabouts.
  6. Yeah, i get it. white vinyl. it might sound worse, it might not. i cant say every white vinyl sounds worse than every other color in the same way that i cant say every 180g vinyl ive listened to sounds better. the only records ive listened to that consistently and truly sound like shit are glow in the dark.
  7. Purple/white copy showed up today. not that it really matters but the finished product is more of a pink/white. looking forward to listening.
  8. i can see 11 completed or active listings on ebay - so 1% of the pressing ended up on ebay... plus a few on discogs ill assume. hardly a legitimate reason to do a repress when you went through the whole pitch of "one time pressing." that said, that white layout is much nicer looking, color vinyl and prints of the artwork. had i known, i would have waited. i dont care if bands repress things repeatedly but it kind of annoys me when they come out with something nicer looking than what they originally did.
  9. just send them this link: http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?pagenum=1&searchtext=hopesfall+satellite+years&incldescr=&sortord=ddate&thumbs=&currsel=&endfrom=&endthru=&ipp=&sdc=
  10. dumb. 2 of the 3 have never been pressed and TSY goes for stupid $$$ on ebay.
  11. I figured when trustkill folded none of these would happen so this is a pleasant surprise.
  12. a-types is prob their weakest effort but it still has its moments i think. i listened to it awhile back and it held up pretty well for me. magnetic north though? ridiculously underrated.
  13. have an OG satellite years but swooped up copies of a-types and magnetic north. really excited for a new album.
  14. Its not too surprising a bunch of people wear their shirts at their shows. the band is pretty much well beyond playing only in front of the type of people that care about that sort of thing. i even saw a lot of parents with their kids at the popestar tour. i wouldnt be "that guy" either but these are people that dont care or even know about such a "rule."
  15. i stopped checking out most solid state releases and never bothered to listen to WATG till just recently but these guys arent half bad. sort of like a mix of beloved and thrice.
  16. I saw them on this tour and it was one of the coolest shows ive been to in a long time but their merch prices on tour are straight ridiculous.
  17. Ahhh, VC. Such a fickle crowd. these guys and gal were definitely jocked a lot harder on here than they are now.
  18. I dont normally complain about color choices but theres something really off putting about that green with the cover art. will prob pick up a black copy down the road.
  19. well, from what i understand carol is long-since dead in the comic as well so i dont think daryl not being in the comic has much to do with anything. plus, his popularity is just too high in spite of the fact that they havent done much with him the last season and a half or so (though i could see him or any other actor being written out of the show over pay or creative differences). the show is at about issue 100 of the comic whereas the comic is now around issue 160 (again, from what i understand - if im wrong, a comic reader can correct me) so there is still a whooole lot of ground to cover with rick, carl, negan, etc.
  20. gonna be hard to off anymore s1 characters for awhile - although im not so sure i see morgan making it out alive this season.
  21. they could have really thrown everyone for a loop and split the killings - abe at the finale, glenn in the premiere.
  22. album is decent. its a little heavy on mid-paced tracks but musically they sound a lot more inspired than they seemed to be on damage.
