Had to be 2-3k Wings fans there tonight. Not many teams do that at Xcel (Leafs, Jets and Chicago being the others) Wings looked solid. Dubnyk let in a softie for the second game in a row, but he's human I guess. Wings will always be in the playoffs as long as Babcock is there. Hate 'em, but gotta respect them.

Very true. I do wonder what might have happened if they hadn't blown that great chance in the 19th minute. Probably still would have lost.

I had one of those Toddy systems but returned it after a couple of weeks. The foam plug would have to be jammed in super tight for it not to leak, and doing so cracked the plastic near the hole. It made good brew, but the design isn't made for a long life imo. Cold brew has pretty much destroyed my love of hot coffee. So good if done well.

Ah...good point about avoiding kickstarter's cut. I wonder how much that would have been on 10k or whatever they raised. When they removed the option to pledge for any turntable well before the funding period it was obvious what they were up to.

This is probably only interesting to me, but since the NHL adopted the shootout I've wished they would change the scoring system to one that places the same value on EVERY game (each game would be worth 3 points - none of this either 2 or 3 point game crap). Basically it would reward the best teams that take care of business in the 60 minutes, and create a bit of separation in the standings. I believe it's how some Euro leagues also work as well. But it will probably never happen, because the NHL is content to have this stupid illusion of parity, and more teams bunched up as the season winds down to create the perception of a super-close playoff race for the last spots. So, if the standings reflected 3 pts win, 2 pts OT/SO win, 1 pt OT/SO loss...here's what they'd look like now. Notice that Tampa would leapfrog Montreal and be tops in the league(NYR game in hand though). Tampa actually has 3 more regulation wins(41) than any other team in the league (NYR = 38, Wild and MTL with 36). I love the holiday football too, but 3 league matches in 7 or 8 days is what starts the whole issue. Then for top teams either CL or Europa picks up again along with FA and Capital One Cups.....no wonder some teams crash.

I have a 2003 Liberty that has 140k or so miles(original owner). It's been pretty good, other than a new tranny about 3 years ago. Plenty of stupid minor recall issues is about my only complaint. That said, I'd agree with the person who said Honda or Toyotas. Miles better, even though U.S. makes are getting more reliable. Totally unrelated: mini coopers suck. Never buy one - only lease if you must.

How do you make your cold brew? I have a cold bruer from a Kickstarter. It works fairly well, but sometimes the brew is really weak if the beans and/or grind aren't just right. Such a good show. I can't imagine anyone who loved Breaking Bad not loving this too. As for the Kettlemens - the wife is a piece of work, but she's really good in that role. The setup for Mike to retrieve the cash was awesome.

Unless he adds some additional quantities there is no way the KS is going to make it. Over 3k short, and the most expensive turntable option that was there last week ($2250 I think) has been removed. No turntable options now can be pledged for. I wonder if he's just trying to let it die a quiet death without having to appear he pulled the plug himself.
