I see what you're saying.. ideologically I just disagree. I've never been in a situation like your example, but if you think of it like a "real" auction, you can't just back out if you don't like the ending price. People who do this are just perpetuating the "scumbag eBay seller" stereotype, which makes it harder for everybody else who's actually trying to buy/sell their stuff.
 
Basically, I guess what I'm saying is, if you WON'T sell something under a certain dollar amount... just set the auction to start there. Don't jerk people around after the auction's over. Your price floor won't stop people from bidding if it's something people actually want. If nobody bids - then you're in the exact same place you would be, minus the negative feedback.

I don't see any issue with what Rambo's doing there. Sure the price point may be high but it's not like he's passing it off like it works properly.... and anyone who would buy a record that is described as having skips isn't buying it to listen anyway.

Sounds is on everybody's radar, yes. There's no timeline, and there's no agreement on who is going to do it - obviously I want it and am in the running for sure, but there are some (much) bigger names than me out there interested, so no word on how it'll shake out. The guys seem to want to keep it on CCR, but like I've said in the past it's a complicated situation.

Trolling much?  I'm not sure why you'd check this release out to begin with, if you weren't into relevant or modern releases.  Yeezus won't be the AOTY for me, by any means.  But to say that the general state of music is marginally disappointing... is a little outlandish, yeah?

My neighbor gave me From The Screen To Your Stereo back when it came out (2001?), and I really didn't like it. Then the self-titled came out and I really dug it... my band early on in high school even used to cover "Hit Or Miss". I was along with them for the ride through the TRL days (for a while there they were one of the biggest bands in the country) but once Coming Home came out I kind of lost interest. It's awesome they're still so relevant and playing shows, though.

I MAY have good news for you guys.

I sent my Uncle George a box of every record I've had a hand in, he said about this record (and I quote): "epitomized exciting, dramatic rock.....very well produced with solid vocals but more than of the others the music just jumps of the disc and takes you to a different place....it reminded me a little of television, or the stones' midnite mile or roxy music when they really rock [instead of croon] but very distinctive stuff......."

My unsolicited two cents: No Idea seems to run things exactly how I would if I was on that scale. There's absolutely nothing wrong with keeping a record that people want in print. It's good for everybody.
 
(by the way - I'm not in any way, shape or form comparing myself to No Idea. Just sayin' in my opinion a lot of people's priorities in this thread are all out of whack.)
