So much yes! A no-brainer pre-order for me. Now give us the rest of their discography on vinyl throughout 2017, please!

I got a response and they said those are the only shipping options for the foreseeable future. So I'm probably going to hold out on them until they do their RSD sale in a few months.

I also emailed asking for Media Mail. Killer Merch designed the new site and shipping has always been cheaper for records from Killer Merch. I just got PIII in the mail and they gave me a discount code and an invitation to the new store and you can't use a discount code on the new store so I'm thinking they've just got some features to work out. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I love Night Riots and I'm really excited for this record and I also want to order the new AAL from them.

Say what you want about Korn but they still throw down live. One of the best performances at Chicago Open Air.

That's because they haven't played the show yet lol

It says RSD version so I think it's likely. That variant does sound cool but I'm find with standard black

*3 years
I know everybody likes to bitch about this stuff and I get it to a degree, but think about them as human beings. Aaron and Spencer are the only ones really doing music anymore. Aaron's music is successful but very different. Spencer's is... not nearly as successful as UO.
You've spent a decade of your life as part of a creative vanguard making awesome music that people flip their shit for. Then you spend 3 years in civilian life either doing normal shit or doing music that really isn't as well received or is drastically different from what you spent your glory years doing. Somebody says "hey let's do a quick reunion tour for our two most well-received records and probably make some decent money while living a small taste of our old life", you're gonna be like "sign me the fuck up." I don't care how fulfilled they may be in their current careers, you're hard pressed to find a career musician who isn't itching to relive the rockstar experience every few years.

SAME, BUT HERE I AM. TWICE.
This. I've posted before but my set-up costed me nothing. I asked everyone to chip in (mom, sister, brother, grandpa, ex stepdad...the works) and get me a decent set-up for Christmas. They got the speakers/receiver from a friend and then pitched in for an Orbit Plus. For a beginner set-up, it's a total dream.
Don't lie, Juan. I was a perfect angel in the beginning (beginning being the keyword.)
I CAN see where Brittany is coming from though. When I first started collecting, it was because I found the last copy of Take This To Your Grave in Hot Topic. I figured that I would just collect albums that impacted me most and hell, I was even totally eyeing up a floral Crosley. I signed up here to purchase a record off Croft (I always mention this when I see him...just ask Allison) and learned a whole lot. So yes, a little under a year ago, 18 records would have seemed like a lot to me and maybe even nearing 'completion'...though I think my list was more like 50? However, this community did help me grow a lot and realize what is so awesome about collecting records. They also talked me out of that Crosley so fast and I've never been happier with a decision.
Learn the ropes around here, read up on some record FAQ, and you'll seriously love your collection (and us!) so much more. For real, girl.
Also, you have a really pretty voice.

rawker31 reacted to topher in PO: Chevelle - Wonder What's Next - SRCvinyl
Challenge accepted.
First off, this album has no nostalgic value whatsoever to me. I still listen to it. I still enjoy it. I've loved this band since 2004. I've enjoyed their highs, and cringed at some of their lows. They still make music that I enjoy, and I continue to support the band.
Second, I'm not interested in the "limited edition" factor. In this case, I purchased the most limited variant because that's the version I felt like buying. Don't care if they made 500 or 500,000 of them. And if I decide to buy the other variant(s), it's because I want a complete collection for one of my favorite bands.
Finally, I have a buddy who met Chevelle after a show in 2009 and he asked them if they'd ever release any of their music on vinyl. They said they were working on it. That was 5 years ago. Every year I hear about someone meeting the band and asking about this, and the band's response is always that it'll happen eventually. Now it's happening, and they're upset because they didn't get to be a part of it. What serious contribution could the band have had to the physical product in the end anyway?
And if Chevelle did have total control in pressing this, I can almost guarantee it would've been a 47 minute album squeezed onto a single 120g LP mastered from a CD. It's obvious that the only reason they've been interested in vinyl for the last 5 years is because suddenly, it's "in" again. The band themselves would've been the ones making a "collectors item". Not SRC. (Wow, that seems really weird to say.)
tl;dr:
SRC acquired the rights legally. The band didn't get the memo, and they're upset. But they've had 12 years to press this album, specifically, "themselves". They expressed interest in having their music on vinyl. That's what this is. And it will sound a hell of a lot better than if the band had had control over it. Sad, but true.

Seriously hoping that Vena Sera and Sci-Fi Crimes will get pressed. I like a lot of the stuff they did on the latter and letters from a thief has to be one of my all time favorite Chevelle songs.
