Agreed. I’m an admitted fanboy but the wind had been let out of my hype sails a bit by a few of the singles. As a whole cohesive unit it’s really great though. Will pony up the $10 for the album release companion film tonight and will be heading to St. Louis for the super spreader release show.

CIC Trapped Black in Sea Blue looks best of the variants in the US IMO. Blindly bought, will listen to the song later. Really like the first album so assuming I’ll be into what’s next.

Very similar reaction from me. Especially the epitaph thing… what friend do they have in the accounting dept that is covering for them while they release these mediocre albums that collect dust? They need to start off with a MUCH smaller pressing this time. Fuck. I hope this finally materializes some day.

You can interpret their policy how you wish: https://bandboxrocks.com/pages/faqs I see things about “I just want the one album” and they said “subscribe or pay the one time price” but then they also say “cancel any time” and whatnot. So what’s to stop anyone from only ever “subscribing” when they want the exclusive at the lower price? I’m not sure, but it sounds like I’ll be fine to squash this sub if I don’t need any of the current exclusives or whatever they announce next month.

I got it for $23.20 shipped by doing the sub and signing up for the mailing list for 20% off. Doesn’t get much cheaper than that for a 2xLP.

Every record they offer is $36. There’s obviously no reason to ever get a general release from them but I’m sure there are beginner level collectors who just keep their sub going and choose normal releases when there isn’t an exclusive they are interested in.

I don’t actually give a shit, just getting bad bits off left and right. This album is really good and if I was still buying every album I see then I’d have been all over it.
