  1. New tracks certainly is relieving my skepticism, though it does still feel kinda different than old Jakob.
  2. It's just meant for rc members for now. If there was a way to prove you are part of the rc and didn't get the email I'd imagine someone would be willing to pm the info. Otherwise, I'd guess the info will be public within the next week. Don't worry, you shouldn't miss anything.
  3. What's the material quality of these things been like for the previous pressings? I'm still wondering why this is 30, but everything else is much more reasonably priced from the same place.
  4. Planning on downsizing a bit and I still need to make some decisions on things, but for now here we go. I love the gf tests for Schaff's art, but I'm just lost on the idea of owning multiples of a release. Prices are for US PPD, and for at least outside North America, you're looking at around an extra $15-20 added to the base cost. Seems to be the pattern I've noticed with USPS lately. 5. I'll keep hope with skepticism until I hear it. Sheath is a good fit, but I can't help but wonder why Graveface was dropped as the label to put this out (or maybe the drop was the other way around).
  6. It's been so long. I'm a little afraid it may disappoint. Hope it kicks butt.
  7. Steady Sounds: John Baizley, Nate Hall, & Mike Scheidt - Songs of Townes Van Zandt Vol II Beefeater - Plays for Lovers Beefeater - House Burning Down Bikini Kill EP Deep Groove: Vista Chino - Peace The Drift - Blue Hour The Men - Open Your Heart
  8. Dark, like the vinyl, music, and their intents. Time for a pissed off post label record. Been digging the single since they released it.
  9. I believe UN received a C and D letter with threats of a lawsuit. Which is why the artwork was changed. Also it falls under transformative art. There was intent in changing the message by altering the image. Still a grey are, as it's based on legal argument for the artist's purpose if the rights holder were to disputes it. And general lols when inciting "fucking punk rock" around Disney products.
  10. It just came to mind, but I wonder if So I Ate Myself, Bite By Bite And The Tears Washed Me, Wave After Cowardly Wave will be part of the archival releases as regular non-picture disc releases. I love the originals, conceptually, but sound quality is not the best due to the format. That would be swell.
  11. The greatest one is the only picture disc. What idiot made that decision?
  12. Hoping for a new Young Team. Bought my box set super cheap used and the A side was not treated well. I need my proper Like Herod fix without all the unintentional noise.
  13. What's up with the King Dude on the poster? Also just now realizing that the woman could use a bit higher saturation, and maybe some value curve shifts, to fit in with the rest of the piece. Anyway, nitpicky. Really impatient to hear this album in full.
  14. I'm sure it's limited, just amount undisclosed. Makes me think how I wish I could find a copy of Left Hand Path still. It's the one Entombed I slept on.
  15. One of my professors used to always say, "if you did it once you can do it again, and it will usually get better each successive time anyway." Of course there's a limit to that and you can't just rely on redoing everything to death, but there's a truth to moderation in there. Also, anybody read "The Art Spirit" by Robert Henri? I'm very intrigued to work through it proper after giving it a flip through. This one part caught me kind of hard in a both bad/good way: "No nation as yet is the home of art. Art is an outsider, a gypsy over the face of the earth. "The only sensible way to regard the art life is that it is a privilege you are willing to pay for. "Seldom has the great art or great science of the world been paid for at the time of creation."
  16. Wish this had been $25 when I saw them. Probably the venue taking a cut of the merch markup. I know many friends in bands who hate the venue they played at, and I assume other than "pay to play" that is part of it. Oh well, the album isn't classic Agalloch (that era is over), but it's good enough for me and glad to have supported the band.
  17. Clearly they'll sound like a psychedelic/drone Torche/Floor on this album.
  18. Live at the Old Quarter is a great live album that showcases not just his music, but his personality. Townes' music is best on show on his most stripped back albums. Just him, his guitar, and minimal accompaniment.
  19. Got a response back from Anna, and they're still going at assembling the box sets. She said all order will go out with the mispress and either the manufacturer or they will send out the fixed 7" once it's pressed correctly. The mispress should be a fun project to make a new jacket, collaged, xeroxed, and foldover style.
  20. Maybe he should consider growing his hair out and dressing more casually, because apparently in some people's minds dressing too neatly=Hitler youth. Reminds me of when I shave my head and people say I look like a skinhead or a cancer patient. People look too far and stretch too low to put others below them based on looks.
  21. ifb records distro just announced copies for $16 and shipping in their email. Email [email protected] if you're interested. Nevin has always been good to me through the distro.
  22. Been a while since I've listened to this album. I remember being into it. I was waiting for amazonuk to get a listing since that's been the cheapest for all the Entombed and Carcass reissues for me. Revisiting now,and the album holds up. Might have to order from Earache after all.
