I mean, you got a refund AND kept the record?
Is the record listenable?
Was it THAT expensive?
In my opinion you should have maybe received a partial refund AND left positive feedback, especially if the refund came from the sellers money.

Ooooh a 7" with two songs that are on the record already.

I bought a brand new sticker with a peace sign and psychedelic flowers on it. It gave me deja vu, as though I had held the same sticker in some far off arcade in my youth. The sticker was brand new, though, so it would be illogical for me to have held that same sticker in the past.
 
EDIT: There was also a scratch on it, but it didn't affect playback. Still I found it disappointing.

Why did all of you support this label until right now if this is all it takes for you turn your back on it? Are you really surprised a label who pretty much only reissues major label crap is doing under the table deals to make more money? They put out KoRn, Dream Theater, and Cartel records, and when they're not licensing from majors, they're paying Drive-Thru, one of the most fucked up labels of all time ran by literal lunatics, their money. Clearly there is nothing 'punk' or 'DIY' about it. It's simply a game of going through lists of records and finding stuff that either hasn't been pressed before, or is out of print, that you think you can sell ~500 copies of, and then talking to people. There is literally no culture or aesthetic. ETR doesn't stand for anything, and that's fine.
 
Ross clearly has every right to start and run a company of that nature, but to me, it has nothing to do with what I do or what other indie record labels do. None of this surprises me because of the nature of ETR's business. I honestly don't think most of the stuff you guys are calling him out on isn't ~that~ bad in the grand scheme of things (besides lying about it) but I also understand the witch hunt nature of this message board. If Deathwish or Topshelf or someone did the same thing, I would feel the same way most of you guys do, but that is because it would be completely out of character with how those companies operate.

Too lazy to find links. A childhood friend of my mom was shot by a stray bullet in her home from people target practicing. Stranger is that it was around the anniversary of her husband having accidentally shot and killed himself playing Russian roulette with a gun he thought wasn't loaded.
 
Also saw today that a two year old shot and killed his/her mother in a store after getting a hold of a gun in the mother's purse.
 
So, yeah, gun safety: more people need to get into that.

Here's an old one I revived lately. Was meant as a cover for the Sleep Clarity single. The colors are just flats right now, but maybe it's worth some critique at this point.
 

Been working on a sketch series, but had to take a break due to business. I've been back to it again lately.

I hate this argument that people use for bands. Bands age and progress, and yes, their music does sound different, but that does not mean it is good. There are bands that progress and make great music, and bands that progress and make shit. Progression does not equal improvement. But alas, it's all up to your own personal opinion anyways.

Am I really the only one here who wants to obnoxiously self promote? Not sure how I'd feel about that.

Been working on a sketch series, but had to take a break due to business. I've been back to it again lately.

I'm totally fine with keeping it available. But selling a "limited bundle" of a vinyl repress to vinyl-loving customers, where the vinyl itself is not limited at all? Call me snob or an asshole but I hate it. I would have prefered if they made 500 orange vinyl for the bundle and then kept selling black or yellow or whatever color afterwards. And I'm pretty sure that most labels would have handled it that way.

In theory ETR would have licensed right to the art, so making special covers may be accounted for. Also Patrick does actual screen printing which is labor intensive and involves a more involved process, thus more expensive, in theory. Otherwise I've missed the unlicensed/consented stuff. I brought it up here because I was afraid of how tight Disney's grip would be on their ip, also I'm beginning to work with musicians to make art for releases so I'm reevaluating the apathy I've paid any previous things like this. If you look elsewhere, I've tried to bring up this conversation elsewhere in regards to ethics, but it tends not to go anywhere.
