  1. I remember hearing something along those lines. I also remember reading about a double vinyl reissue of Finding The Rhythms from No Idea....
  2. Got this in the mail today. Packaging on this thing is awesome. The sleeves for the records have the fire water emblem on them. The spine is about 3/4 inch thick and the sinc art is great as always. I know it's a redundant release, but they did a really great job on it. I didn't know that there are 7 unreleased remastered versions of old songs and the live songs aren't from any of the live albums, there all exclusives too. Unfortunately it is 33rpm, I was really hoping for 45rpm.
  3. This isn't going to help you a whole lot, as I don't know about this particular release, but this is from a radio show. There are two versions that are widely booted, the sound board version(good), and the recorded off the radio onto tape and then booted version(bad). I have a digital copy of the sound board version and that's the one in the you tube video. I've heard tracks off of the radio copy and they were considerably worse. The sound board version is considered to be the best boot of the man and journey shows. It really sucks that this was supposed to be Umagumma, but for whatever reasons it didn't happen...
  4. Sound Stage Direct has The Lion and the Witch on sale for $12.99. Always held out on ordering this due to the price, so I jumped on this.
  5. 1998. The begining of the end of the Epitpah punk bands that defined my high school years. Started buying records as a freshman ('94) to play on my dad's turntable. Records were $4 cheaper then cds back then...now they're about $10-50 more, but whatever...I believe I bought all these the year I graduated: AFI- A Fire Inside EP Anti Flag/The Dread Split Bad Religion-No Substance Dropkick Murpheys-Do Or Die Dwarves-Lick It and Free Cocaine Fugazi-End Hits Hepcat-Right On Time The Humpers-Euphoria, Confusion, and Remorse Jughead's Revenge-Just Joined Lagwagon-Lets Talk About Feelings Marilyn Manson-Mechanical Animals NoFX-All Of Me 7" Offspring-Americana Rancid-Life Wont Wait Refused-Shape Of Punk To Come SNFU-Lets Get It Right The First Time (Cheated here, couldn't find the vinyl so got the cd, such a great album I had to include it) Swingin' Utters-Five Lessons Learned Vandals-Hitler Bad, Vandals Good VooDoo Glow Skulls-Band Geek Mafia Some other albums that came out that year that I bought later on in life: Alkaline Trio-Goddamnit At The Drive In-In Casion Out Avail-Over The James Nashville Pussy-Let Them Eat Pussy All and all, a pretty good damn year of music.
  6. Ordered. I'm a sucker for good music and naked chicks...even if it means you gotta see Blag and Hewho's schlong every now and then...
  7. The NIN site gives you instant digital download...for what that's worth to ya
  8. Is the live version of decline the same as the DVD version? Assumed it would be, then saw the back of the pic disc was the cover of it.
  9. Was not going to buy this... I must have 15 different presses of this album and had a little intervention with myself not to buy another copy unless the ever elusive half black and white showed up somewhere. It's by far my favorite by them and while the remastering at 45rpm had me more than intrigued, I told my self no...it's the same album I already have multiple pressings of...I don't need it. Then I saw the cover... goddamit.
  10. I'll be picking it up. I don't really look at it as a new album, per say. More like a compliment to the Division Bell, which is more than cool by me.
  11. I found out about the different mixes from wikipedia. I was reading up on The Fragile while bored at work one day. I bought the double record when it first came out and never have heard the cd version. I didn't even know it had different songs on it till I read the wiki page. Another release I found out the differences about from wikipedia was Mechanical Animals. I bought that LP when it came out too, and years later I picked up the used CD of it. I listened to the CD once in my car and something didn't sit right with me...I just assumed that it was one of those albums that need to be played on record. Then I read the wiki page about it and the realized the differnet track order was why it didn't soud right to me...
  12. Through my years of record buying I've come across some lps that have bonus tracks, alternative mixes, or different track orders than the CD versions. I'm not really interested in CD's that have bonus songs, as there were a ton of them in the 80's to help persuade people who already had the album to buy the CD. I looked for a thread that would list these and was unable to find one, so here goes... AFI, all of their Nitro records had LP only songs Down By Law, All Scratched Up! has an extra 6 songs on it Marilyn Manson, Mechanical Animals has different track order Nine Inch Nails, The Fragile has different mixes of The Day the World Went Away, The Wretched, Even Deeper, La Mer, and Ripe. The Fragile also has 2 extra songs on it, 10 Miles High and The New Flesh NoFX, So Long...Different Mix of Murder The Government I know there has to be a slew more, so add whatever you can think of...
  13. Sooo the only way to get the starburst vinyl is $65 for shirt, mug, and journal... What the fuck...ever felt like you're being had?
  14. The 7" is up for preorder on blue or black at side 1's site. No album preorder yet though.... Was hopeing to order both at same time to save on shipping, oh well.
  15. So I picked up the lp from interpunk for $15.50. Black vinyl, no download card, and no insert. The music on it is great, no signs of slowing down at all. The biggest surprise is Mr Chi Pig's voice. It's fucking shot. He literally sounds like a old toothless homeless dude, which I guess he is... It's comparable to Johnny Cash's voice on the last American recordings. Not that Cash was homeless or anything, but he was 71, 20 years older then Chi. Like I said, the music's great, the lyrics are right on par with other releases, unfortunately, I get depressed when I listen to it due to the deterioration of Chi's voice...
  16. My middle child is three and he loves playing records. I've got a turntable on each of the three floors of our house and he has a favorite record for each one. Our bedroom record is Gaslight Anthem's "party song", third song from Senor and the Queen. The living room is a tie between the Forgetter's ep and Against Me's White Crosses. The basement record is Chuck Ragan's Anderson's Bluegrass Split. He picks them out and i hold him and he pushes the start button and just watches them spin. It really is pretty awesome. He has one of the plastic turntables, similar to the Big Bird one, but has grown out of it. Definetly going to look for one of those Fisher Price units.. didn't even know they existed.
  17. Holy fuck. I love this band, but I can't justify $45 for the lp. Their last effort was great... Going have to hear some songs first. Neither Belke brother on this one...
  18. They also mention Suffer and No Control in 21st Century Digital Boy and How Could Help Be Any Worse in LA is Burning.
  19. Oh, and this is definitively their best album since whatever you think their last best album is.
  20. I've got the good ol' Technics SL-1200 Turntable with a brand spanking new (just got it monday) Audio Technica AT440MLa (my first new cart in 13 years and its blowing me away), a fairly moderate setup, and my pink copy plays great with no background noise or skips. For those having issues, KRM customer service is great. My red Bad Religion True North was warped, as where many other peoples. They promptly sent me a replacement along with a post paid address label to send the warped one back. Unfortunately my replacement was warped as well, so they sent me a black non-warped copy and told me to keep the red warped replacement which I intend on fixing in the summer.
  21. If anyone wants to part with their box (no records or banner) hit me up.
  22. I just saw that shop radio cast has a UK import of mechanical animals for $37. I used to order from them often, but my last order from them took over 4 months to arrive and whenever I emailed them about it, I was ignored.
  23. Got my replacement copy from KRM today... It was red, which is good, and it was warped, which is bad. Not nearly as warped as my first copy, but bad enough that the stylus still hops of the record.
