A portion of this thread is just copied and pasted from the original guidelines thread. I was initially just elaborating and expanding on each subject that Juan had outlined before deciding to include my own content. I think paid raffles are against the rules. And since Sec Haze is notoriously known for doing free ones, I threw his name out there... though in truth, anyone doing a free raffle would be in the clear. I'll likely elaborate on that, as I plan to revise a few bits here and there.

Like I said. This thread was exceptionally sarcastic in its early stages. I created it in light of recent events, where a few members have tried to hide behind the initial sale guidelines as a means of justified flipping. But instead of just posting a thread explaining why flipping is discouraged here at VC, I though I'd address some misconceptions and common questions for people who've never made a transaction before. Fuck me for wanting to be helpful, right? Yeah, the thread maybe took 20 minutes to write out, format, and arrange... but I don't think it was a waste of time, and I certainly don't see it as a try-hard request to be a moderator. Not everyone in life is working an angle or expecting something in return of their contribution.

Heres the deal, my girlfriend and i have been together for 3ish years, shes my best friend we are basically the same exact person. love at first sight and all that mushy stuff. 
im looking to making the next step for us but i really dont know what im doing. i know some couples do all of this together, but i dont want to do that, i want it to be a total surprise. 
im at a total loss at what i should spend on a ring and what i should look for in a ring, i know you guys cant give details on what she would like, i think i can do that part fine, i just dont know what to look for/stay away from when it comes to jewelry. 
 
were both really big into music and vinyl and im looking to make this happen over Punk Rock Bowling weekend in may. ive got a few ideas and have a hookup with one of our favorite bands that will be playing this year to make it the special 'concert proposal' if i decide to go that route. not totally sure yet. im mainly concerned with the ring at the moment. 
 
also, share with me what you did when you proposed! i want to know what happened with you guys, maybe i can snag some ideas.

first off, a huge thanks for all the support on this sale! can't believe this sold out as fast as it did and we're really happy to finally be able to share these with you. we wanted to do something really special to celebrate the band and dine alone getting the licenses for the back catalogue and this box set really does cover everything. its certainly a full discography of the band.
 
secondly, we have some more AOF vinyl plans to be announced shortly.

I got a credit card info error on that one that time so I went and test-ordered a Frisbee just to see if my card info would go through...and it did.
 
So as of now I have no box set...but I do have a heartskull Frisbee that I certainly don't want for 10 bucks on the way!
