  1. An affordable and non-limited pressing of a quality 90s album. What a novel concept.
  2. On I-69 near Gas City? I guess? Got mine though. Now just 300 more miles to drive . . .
  3. At a rest stop in the middle of Indiana. Let's do this.
  4. Love this band. There's a /90 bundle with a hand-made sigil, if you're into that sort of thing, and it's not that much more than the two albums on vinyl individually, plus you get the CD. www.scdistribution.com/thebesnardlakes/
  5. Thoughts on this album? I've listened to it a couple times. Kind of a funky listen, like Historical Conquests but more so. At its best I get a Graceland vibe, but in other parts it almost sounds like (forgive me) DMB, even his voice sounds like him at times, which is just bizarre. I got the demos CD that came with the deluxe and I wonder if I'll like that more. Interested to hear what other fans think.
  6. Was there an announcement as to what cities would be in the tour? Dallas was the only confirmation I recall seeing.
  7. I'm also confused as to why eBay is the best way to get it into the hands of "someone who collects Lanegan." If that was your goal, maybe let someone else at the actual Lanegan show buy it for whatever it was going for (I assume less than $200) instead of buying it, jacking up the price, and putting it on the biggest secondary market in the world.
  8. I was driving from Pueblo to the Denver airport a month or so ago and almost stopped in Colorado Springs for a record dig, but I didn't have a lot of time and couldn't figure out where to prioritize my time. This will help if I ever have the opportunity again. Thanks.
  9. I've got it and use it, though there's not many reviews on it so it's hard to figure out whether a 45 minute drive somewhere will end up being worth it. Thanks for the recommendations.
  10. collective (noun): a cooperative enterprise.
  11. I travel for work a fair amount and when I'm on the road I try to scope out any record stores nearby. I've been to a lot of the stores that I've found on various "best stores in America" lists, some of which I've found live up to the hype (hi, Amoeba), some of which I've found disappointing (cough, Electric Fetus), but I just as often find myself in the middle of nowhere or somewhere where I wouldn't expect to find a really good shop. Since I sometimes have some control over where I travel, I figured I'd see if anyone had any "off the beaten path" record stores that are worth checking out that I can keep in mind. A few that spring to mind for me: Double Decker Records, Allentown, PA - Seems to be pretty well known around here, but I didn't know about it until I went to Allentown and it's really great. Flat, Black, and Circular, East Lansing, MI - On my mind since I was just there last week. Typical college town record store, but I always seem to find some really good stuff I can't find anywhere else at good prices. Ragged Records, Davenport, IA - I mainly mention it because it's in my hometown, but sadly it didn't show up until after I left the area, but I stop by when I'm back in town. Does a lot of classic rock/psyche/prog business, but consistenly has some really good and rare stuff along those lines if you're willing to pay for it. Anyone have any others they want to suggest?
  12. Suggest to me that the brown with splatter will sell out as well, probably within the hour.
  13. Got the brown with bone splatter as well. Bad Timing is about the most painless, easy checkout around. Now for some onion rings . . .
  14. I really only want I'll Take Care of You, so I'll hold off for now hoping for individual pressings.
  15. Just saw this. Why 3 LPs when it looks like the tracklist is only 21 songs long?
  16. Hopefully so, if for no other reason than it will keep people who already have it from ordering it again and get it in the hands of those who don't.
