  1. I was flipping through the new issue of Magnet that came in the mail today, and there's an ad from Fatcat Records advertising "Vinyl Reissues First Time U.S. Pressings" of Sing the Greys and Midnight Organ Fight. I don't see anything on the Fatcat Records website and don't remember seeing any news of it on the web. Anyone heard anything about this before now? VERY excited about the prospect of getting my hands on Midnight Organ Fight.
  2. Did I hear right that some of the deluxes will be in stores? I told my local store to hold one for me, but they weren't sure if they were getting them or not. Just want to know that there will be some out there still after the preorderers got theirs.
  3. Went to the local quarterly record show today. I see the same people with the same crappy classic rock LPs in terrible condition, but I go just in case I find a diamond in the rough (like the time I got Electro-Shock Blues and New Adventues in Hi-Fi for a total of $35). Only came away today with the Lost Highway 2LP press of the Hank Williams tribute album /1000 for $10. Not bad, but not worth the amount of time I was there. Jesus some of those people smell bad . . .
  4. Unless you are thinking of the Safety in Numbers/Brand New CD split.
  5. No kidding. I paid $40 for Fear of a Blank Planet and it's one of the easier ones to find.
  6. This is admittedly cool, but it's been up for this price for a long time, to the point where I'm convinced that when life on Earth ends, all that will be left is rats, Twinkies, and this listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sigur-Ros-Agaetis-Byrjun-2X12-Test-Press-Fat-Cat-/160977661228?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item257b042d2c
  7. Loved the first album and have been less interested with each passing record as he drifted into his country thing. What I've heard sounds like a return to form. Looking over the deluxe options.
  8. http://thrilljockey.com/thrill/Califone/Heron-King-Blues Finally getting a repress. Hoping Quicksand/Cradlesnakes will follow.
  9. I have a copy of Document by R.E.M. that has a business card taped to the back (and three other business cards inside) from Ron Scarselli, the illustrator, designer, and layout artist for I.R.S. Records responsible for the packaging. I always thought that was kind of cool (he was even nominated for a Grammy for it!).
  10. I've got a signed copy of One Night, if that trips your fancy.
  11. Picked up original pressings of Endtroducing by DJ Shadow and Vs. by Pearl Jam while in Knoxville last week.
  12. I bought this a couple months ago in ever boringer black during the Hot Topic sale. Should have held out.
  13. Are people staying on the main store page, or the vinyl-specific page? I don't want to miss it when it goes live on the main page because I didn't scroll fast enough . . .
  14. I was excited when I found out I got to go to Louisville this week (I travel most weeks for work), less so when I found out Ear X-tacy is gone. Have any Louisville stores picked up the slack, or is it a wasteland?
  15. I have orange if you're still looking for these.
  16. The deluxe edition appears to be sold out. Hoping they have them in stores.
  17. Really digging Wax on Radio's Exposition recently and would love if it got pressed.
