  1. Jimmy Eat World is playing in Hollywood tomorrow night. But that's not San Diego.
  2. Got my bundle today. Loving the album itself. Kind of disappointed that DVD performance didn't include all of Brian's in between song banter or the cover songs. Plus his quote of The Cure's Pictures of You lyrics were removed from the DVD but left on the album itself. Strange decisions but I'm sure it has to do with licensing.

  4. Found a test press for De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising over the weekend. Pretty stoked about it.
  5. sucks man. i know a lot of people who knew him personally and they're all pretty bummed out. poor guy. RIP Bill.
  6. They were still signed to Atlantic Records when Tales came out. By that point, Atlantic had stopped pressing albums on vinyl in the UK. The last album that Atlantic pressed on vinyl was Matt Davies side project, The Secret Show.
  7. Apparently, the box sets are delayed because he's still waiting for the embroidered patches.

  10. If you're that unhappy about it, then you should write to ITR and cancel your order for the deluxe edition. I'm sure somebody else will buy your copy. It's ridiculous how people are getting up in arms about this. I love how people have some absurd expectations about how labels are supposed to conduct themselves regarding pressing records. They shouldn't press more because more people want it. I want to be special and have something NOBODY else has!! Or from the Scott Pilgrim thread: They can't do another red vinyl pressing! That goes against the rules! If they want to press more copies, then let them press more copies. If you don't like it, don't buy it. All of this should be about the music. If you like the music buy it. If you're just buying the record because it's a limited edition, you're doing it wrong.
  11. http://www.groupon.com/deals/amoeba-music-hollywood The last time they did a Groupon it was $15 for $30 so this is kind of lame. But I went for two Groupons anyway. You can easily grab more if you use different emails and credit cards. The Groupon deal doesn't expire until Nov 25 so if you're visiting LA soon, you can use this as well.
  12. got this locally today for $130 (tax included). cheaper than what Frontier have it for. stoked.
  13. I just moved into a room in my buddy's house. I had to downsize the collection due to space issues. (I used to have three 2x4 expedits. And now the rest of my collection is in storage.) But here's the current setup. I also have a 2x2 Expedit in the closet.
  14. I caught the LA (Long Beach) screening a few weeks back. Seriously one of the best music docs I've seen. They seemed pretty thorough with telling the band's story. Great footage of both bands throughout their career. I really hope they can sort out the licensing and distro issues so it can get a proper release in theaters and on DVD/Blu ray.
  15. Banquet records had some copies online. But I wasn't into paying £10ppd for a cassette
  16. I actually prefer the Total version. But it's cool. It kind of preserves the original pressings of Total.
  17. It's not listed on the tracklisting for the Bonus LP
  18. Looking at the tracklisting, it doesn't look like the Total version of "Be Stag" is included?
