TPH976 got a reaction from highfives in SOLD OUT Now: Nothing - Don't Look for Light in Tunnels (A Decade of Nothing)
Even with that description and Lucier reference, I don't know who really expected this. I just don't think they have the artistic credibility to justify a blind left turn on their fans like this. It's not like we've followed them down a road of twists and turns to get here. I've spent tons of money supporting this band in all ways and am feeling duped. And most of the records I buy are experimental/ambient/drone/etc.!
It's not the point, but I don't see these holding any value give the list price and pressing quantity either. But I'm keeping it since I'm sure no one else wants it!

Up on Kompakt’s Bandcamp now too, but still pricey with shipping: https://kompakt.bandcamp.com/album/der-lange-marsch
Bleep should be putting this up at some point, maybe better shipping from them.

It sounds like if Nothing were stronger songwriters. I like the grungier sound which has a purpose in the sound of this record. The distortion and low tones actually make me empathize with Cole's destructive nature and addiction. As soon as Horsehead started I was like...shit!

Although I haven't seen info on a vinyl pressing (it'd have to be massive), Kamasi Washington's record on Brainfeeder is incredible. Can't stop listening to it.

TPH976 got a reaction from 213041284s in PO: Sun Kil Moon "Benji" (7/29)
I love most of Mark's music but I think he trolled us all with Benji. I find it almost embarrassing to listen to (except for Prayer for Newtown). Ghosts, April, and Admiral are spectacular, but he just seems totally uninspired anymore. This ridiculous WOD thing really makes him look like a huge out-of-touch asshole.

Very excited for this. Was slightly underwhelmed by last Junip album.

This is an incredible late-period Coltrane live recording:
http://www.resonancerecords.org/release.php?cat=B0019632-01
It's pricey but the package is very high quality. Some of the tracks are pretty far out, so it's probably not the best Coltrane intro for those new to him.

They mistakenly posted that it would be available on red, which is incorrect. Turns out all copies are going to be black, per an email from Matador Direct.

TPH976 reacted to captainaldous in PO NOW: Morrissey - World Peace is None Of Your Business
Funny how the page count doubles as soon as there's a mishap with the hot topic variant. Haha.
What do you guys think of this record as a whole? When I received my ultimate bundle, I was excited beyond words, but when I listened to the album front to back while reading the lyrics, I was a little, i don't know. Confused, for lack of a better word. So I slept on it, and put the cd in my car and listened to it on my drives here and there and started to like it more. So I gave it a few more listens from front to back now it's 99 percent definitely my AOTY. Although, I don't think this album is for anyone who doesn't have an "intimate" (I guess?) relationship with Morrissey's music. I can see people being turned off by this record pretty easily.

The rollout of these releases is a total shit show. In the old days Caldo Verde would post all available copies and would sell them until they ran out. Seems simple to me. None of this multi-retailer approach with people who think they were able to purchase copies only to find out months later that there weren't any there to begin with.

TPH976 got a reaction from Duff in RSD - Sunny Day Real Estate / Circa Survive Split 7"
Curious song choice by Circa for what is probably the most high profile release of their career so far. Not representative of what they do well. It's more of a throwaway B-side IMO.

Idk why this would be delayed by the distributors when it's been out a month. I'd say it's say to say its sold out. If any third party is getting them it'd be a super limited amount. They sold a ton online and I think the majority of the rest were sent to independent record stores but that's just my speculation

TPH976 reacted to nothingnatural in What's your vinyl ''Holy Grail''?
Nice. Cool to see another Lilys fan around here. I got a notification from Discogs about that as well. Curious, did you pay the $100 or submit a best offer? Another sold for $140 on Discogs a few months back. There's six on Collectors Frenzy ranging from $47-$200+.
Yeah, I would say 2k-5k would be more of a correct number. 50 is definitely not right. Welcome to the board.
