  1. Dunno if this is anyone's cup of tea, but Apothecary Compositions, a relatively new electronic label that does like 80% of their releases on cassette, is releasing a compilation very soon. From what I've heard on the previews, it's gonna be pretty incredible. The rest of their catalog is worth checking out too. http://apothecary-compositions.com/products/various-artists-elite-batch-first-edition-limited-edition-cassette-pre-order
  2. Quicksand, if I'm not mistaken. Here's the link that I downloaded it from: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/quicksand Also, "Misogyny in Punk Rock" sounds rad as hell. Just my two cents.
  3. This thread is...well, yeah. I want a response from wildflange before I even consider saying anything else, jokes or otherwise.
  4. Not sure if this has already been brought up, but I thought it was really good. Gaussian Curve - Clouds, released on Music From Memory, a neat little Amsterdam-based label. http://experimedia.net/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&cPath=1&products_id=15506
  5. I've been trying to plan a trip to NYC for months, and somehow my plans always end up falling through before I actually get to start making travel arrangements, which has been totally not annoying at all. (/sarcasm) So, a few days ago, a friend of mine who moved there last year offered to let me stay in her apartment. Definitely a solid step in the right direction. Now all I have to do is find someone to go with me because like hell am I going to NYC by myself, especially for my first visit.
  6. (also you should totally grab that ultra rare super limited edition Metallica cassette)
  7. I'll be there around 8:30 or so, let's high-five or something. Also, I don't know if this has already been mentioned here (also not sure if it's gonna be available in the US since the label is based in London), but Ninja Tune is putting out an RSD exclusive 12" remix EP for Machinedrum's Vapor City. Thought some of y'all might be interested.
  8. I forget how long ago it was (it had less than a million views when I first saw it), but one of my friends showed it to me expecting an adverse reaction from me since I was more grossed out by body stuff back then than I am now. I ended up loving it, though. It's a damn near flawless piece of modern animation in my opinion.
  9. My apologies if this doesn't really count as horror (it's more body horror than anything else), or if it's already been brought up before, but this is one of my favorite music videos, directed by French animator Jeremie Perin. Definitely not safe for work.
  10. All Star Special, all the time every time. Eggs fried, ham instead of sausage/bacon, hash browns scattered extra crispy. They gave me way too much hash browns, but I'm not one to complain, haha.
  11. Ah, yes. Nothing like a Waffle House run at 1:30am to make the night better.
  12. As a Georgia resident, I totally feel you on this one. At least your governor/senator probably didn't push the bill through while all of the opposing voters were in the bathroom. Also, unrelated but still political in nature, how is Ted Cruz being taken seriously as a presidential candidate when he was born in Canada? That's a serious question, like is there some sort of loophole that I don't know about, or are republicans just being quiet about it because he's also a republican and not Obama?
  13. I grew up Southern Baptist, but I never really liked it that much. I only went because my parents made me go, and that's where most of my friends were when I was younger. I stopped going to church as soon as I moved for college, but I still consider myself sort of religious, and I also recognize the value and importance of church in many people's lives. I do think if I started going back to any type of organized "religious" service, it would be Unitarian Universalism. I can dig it.
  14. I'm not picking a fight or calling anyone out (I swear!), but I personally use "agnostic theist" because I believe in God, but acknowledge the fact that they may not exist. It's just the way I feel most comfortable identifying myself. I've never been a huge fan of the "either you ARE or you AREN'T" argument, nor am I a fan of people telling other people who or what they are or aren't, or how they should identify. Back to the topic at hand: as funny as that last bit is, and as much as I agree with and support the separation of church and state, I think most major news networks are well aware that the majority of Americans belong to a religion of some sort (83% religious, 74% Christian), so they're more than likely not going to air that commercial at the risk of religious people (see: Christians) getting offended at the network, throwing around phrases like "this is a CHRISTIAN nation" and "they're trying to violate my religious freedom," losing ratings/financial support from private donors, etc.
  15. Went to the Perimeter UO in Atlanta last weekend and scored a copy of the UO exclusive Ryan Hemsworth - Guilt Trips on clearance. Good find. Also, for some reason I thought it was clear, but the light/dark blue transparent haze is surprisingly gorgeous. I already said this on Instagram, but this probably ties with Frankie Rose - Herein Wild as my favorite UO exclusive variant. I mean, look at it. Even if you don't particularly like haze variants, you gotta admit that's a great looking record.
  16. This is a really good album. I haven't finished it yet (gonna have to save the last three tracks for work tomorrow), and I'll definitely need to listen to it front-to-back two or three more times to have a solid opinion on it, but it's probably gonna end up in my top 10 list this year. I'm just gonna ignore the other things that are up for discussion, for now at least.
  17. I didn't look at the last, like, ten pages. Have we already talked about the new Kendrick album, or...? (edit: how I didn't see the entire thread in the other board is beyond me)
  18. Oh my god, I just went through the entire MrVinyl77 FS thread and I'm so sad I missed out on that experience. It's the most fun I've had reading through a thread since the last Zay Zay trainwreck.
  19. I more or less stopped listening to TDWP after Zombie, but I'm a total sucker for concept albums and the like, so if it ends up being a decent EP and gets pressed I'll probably look into it.
  20. Gotta love Wuxtry. I hope they stay open forever. Or at least long enough for me to move away then come back a few years down the road for a football game and go in and be like "holy shit, this place hasn't changed at all." Ultimate goal right there. Also, let it be known that every single year I've done RSD, I've always been tempted to go to Criminal instead of Wuxtry, just so I can meet some of the other Atlanta-area board bruhs in person. Maybe it'll happen eventually. (That said, if any of y'all will somehow miraculously be in Athens this RSD, lemme know and I'll high five you in line and help you get stuff on your list. The chances of that happening are slim, but hey, it's worth mentioning.)
