Back in for the Vault, and also pulled the trigger on the UHQR 2xLP 45 of Elephant after listening / reading a ton of good reviews. Will be a fun weekend of listening to that when it gets in.

Fuck it. I canceled. Given I haven’t liked anything in almost 20 years of theirs I’m just gonna stream if I like it. Especially if they have more box sets for older stuff if the works I’d rather my money go towards that.

Ordered. Not amazed by the single, but I’ll cancel later if I don’t like the next single or two.

Got mine. A little disappointed it turned into a starburst opposed to a tri-stripe like the previews. Even shows the tri on the order sheet inside the mailer. I usually don’t care about variant changes, but I really don’t like starburst, and really like tri’s, but on top of delays and the price, sigh. Oh well.

Great write up, Juan. Might have to grab a remaster. I just have the original mix (2004 pressing).

Digging the song. Nothing ground breaking, but always dig Keith’s vocals so I’m for it. Interested to hear how this album turns out.

So the band apparently didn’t know anything about the WATT reissue. Haven’t seen the artwork nor heard the remaster. So that’s… lame to say the least.

If it helps, I did get a replacement that was clean. Phil also has a bunch of copies that are clean too. So it hopefully was just a few bad ones in the batch or screwed up in shipping.

Waiting on the official announcement just in case.

Maybe we’ll get these by Xmas.

I’d grab an OG if I could justify that price tag. But yah, all are great. I like that they’re all a little different so one version is bound to please various tastes / ears. The 30th Anniversary is remastered from the digital transfers, so I’m curious how they’ll sound compared to the DMM version. Wonder how different the ‘newly mastered’ version will differ if at all. Probably won’t be able to tell much of a difference personally since it’ll be the same mix I’m assuming. I’m gonna grab this eventually when it goes on sale. I was able to grab the Nevermind box $103 in a pre-order, and I’m sure we’ll all be able to grab In Utero on sale a few months after release. I’ve been seeing the Nevermind one go on sale for ~50% recently, only a year after it came out.
