ajxd
It's dirty. Records aren't made in pristine clean locations. A lot of pressing plants are basically in a factory. All new records need to be cleaned. Start with an anti static cleaning brush. caninesapien, Tiltar, enyfour5 and 1 other

caninesapien
lol Fuck, I clicked the posi button on your post by mistake. . Just bought a vinyl and it's starting to pop on some tracks, not all of them. What can i do to fix this problem? thanks in advance! Anti-static brush or cloth is a good way to start. I've had good results with record cleaning solutions (like £5 a bottle, lasted me over a year and still plenty left) - might be worth a try to just get those last bits of grime/dust from the surface. caninesapien
What kind of solution would you recommend? I'll check to see the brand on mine but I think it's all much of a muchness. It works a treat for older vinyl with light-medium dust and grime. Some records I have are improved somewhat after use but it's not a complete foolproof way to save grimy records. trott3r
There is "spin clean" and knosti disco antistat manual cleaning baths. Not the cheapest but you only buy the solution after you get the bath. £60 in the uk.
